As an integral member of Simplii Financials’ Digital Sales & Distribution team reporting to the Senior Director, the Senior Manager, Digital Sales & Expansion is responsible for contributing to projects that impact the business through in-depth analysis, relationship management and content moderation and project coordination. The Senior Manager accelerates performance across our Simplii Financial sales and services teams, work closely with cross functional teams and key stakeholders. The role applies professional, analytical and communication skills to elevate the momentum and execution with scale of strategic priorities through training with a focus on delivering an exceptional client and employee experience.   

At Simplii we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.  

How you'll succeed    

  • Product backlog - Maintain and prioritize the Digital Sales & Distribution product backlog by collaborating with stakeholders, leveraging analytics, and incorporating client feedback to deliver iterative fintech product enhancements that address client needs and achieve business objectives. Create user stories and collaborate on product requirements in a collaborative fashion with business system analysts, design, editorial, project managers, technical consultants and various members of the product team. Monitor project scope, schedule, budget, and releases, and support in creating the best ROI on the development effort with the project manager and technical leads. 

  • Project delivery - Lead work packages with complex requirements, elicit cooperation from multiple stakeholders, manage competing priorities to deliver projects and initiatives within scope, on time and within budget. Perform business analysis, document current and future state processes. Prepare presentation material and communications. You will work with partner groups to plan, implement, and measure outcomes using business KPIs to support frontline teams.  

  • Stakeholder management - Be a trusted credible advisor and collaborate with leadership teams at all levels, including executives.Maintain professional networks with multiple partners, communicate proactively to plan and organize work across stakeholders. 

  • Storytelling: As part of your responsibilities, you will present backlog items and strategic initiatives to leadership stakeholders, articulating a clear vision and compelling storyline to drive alignment and support. You will develop and deliver executive-level presentations that effectively communicate priorities, progress, and recommendations in line with organizational goals. Additionally, you will facilitate discussions with leadership, address feedback, and incorporate insights to refine backlog items and ensure that strategic objectives are consistently met. 

 

Who you are 

  • You can demonstrate 5 to 8 years of work experience in product management and digital product leadership, preferably within financial services or a related industry. It’s an asset if you have experience with martech platforms such as: Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Adobe Experience Platform.

  • You can demonstrate 5 to 8 years of work experience translating business objectives into technical requirements and effectively communicate solutions to technology teams for successful implementation. It’s an asset if you have working knowledge of SQL, HTML coding.

  • You demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills to secure commitment and support from stakeholders including executive-level initiatives and projects, articulate ideas in detailed business cases and proposals.
