Senior Manager, Digital Platforms

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead platform innovation and improvement initiatives in collaboration with Business Product Owner and Technical Lead.

  • Analyze platform performance data and user feedback to identify opportunities for enhancement.

  • Partner with product owners and cross-functional teams to define and prioritize platform roadmaps.

  • Ensure platform strategies align with Manulife’s digital transformation goals, technology compliances and regulatory requirements.

  • Champion agile delivery practices and serve as a facilitator for scrum teams when needed.

  • Monitor platform KPIs and drive continuous improvement through data-driven decision-making.

  • Advocate for user-centric design and accessibility across all digital touchpoints.

  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies (e.g., AI, blockchain, open APIs) and assess their applicability to platform evolution.

  • Monitor digital platforms and mobile applications to identify performance issues and anomalies.

  • Diagnose technical and process-related root causes contributing to unsatisfactory KPI results and recommend corrective actions.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 7 years of experience in digital platform management, product leadership, or fintech product development.

  • Strong understanding of financial services platforms, including compliance, data privacy, and risk management.

  • Proven experience with agile methodologies, product lifecycle management, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Technical proficiency in mobile application development, APIs, cloud platforms, data analytics, and cybersecurity principles.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Experience working in a scaled agile environment or with multiple workstreams is a plus.

  • Experience in monitoring digital platforms and mobile applications to ensure optimal performance and user experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Financial acumen and familiarity with insurance or banking industry.

  • Experience with digital transformation initiatives in APAC markets.

  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as HKIA, HKMA, GDPR, PDPO, and AML.

  • Ability to lead through influence and empower teams across functions.

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Empathy, self-awareness, and a customer-first mindset.
