Amplifi is dentsu's media investment and innovation platform, supporting our agencies and clients with the tools and expertise to drive smarter media decisions. We work closely with publishers, media companies, and tech partners to evolve how we engage with the supply side of the industry.
The Sr. Manager, Dentsu Sports Media will help manage dentsu's sports portfolio across agencies including Carat, dentsuX/360i, and iProspect. You will support the dentsu sports team and account leadership by delivering strategic insights, media activation, and client services that keep our teams ahead in the evolving sports landscape. You'll monitor league news, industry trends, and latest technologies, while developing POVs, media alerts, and research to inform clients and company partners. A focus on digital and social media investment will be central to your success. Alongside the Director, you'll serve as the daily face of the sports team—internally and externally—allowing senior leadership to focus on broader plans. This hybrid role reports to the EVP, Dentsu Sports Media.
Key Accountabilities:
Navigate the sports media landscape by analyzing spending trends, audience composition, and new opportunities.
Maintain the sports team hub, including competitive insights, league partnerships, sponsorship positions, and dentsu client sports footprints.
Collaborate with the research team to produce seasonal sports write-ups and ratings analysis.
Drive innovation by identifying latest trends and technologies shaping the future of sports media.
Create strategic deliverables such as recommendations, POVs, recaps, overviews, and comparative analyses.
Provide client support, ensuring excellent delivery and relevant insights.
Improve processes for efficiency and improvement.
Communicate dentsu's sports value proposition to clients and company partners.
Support leadership in new business development, including pitch preparation and strategic input.
Contribute expertise and act as a strategic advisor across sports media programs.
Recommend tactics to enhance sports activation across all media channels.
Lead new client onboarding for sports-related engagements.
Lead client conversations and be the internal leadership partner, representing the sports team in important interactions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
4+ years' experience within the programmatic or digital media industry with a focus on sports.
1+ years' of experience leading a team
Experience with non-linear channels (social, digital, on-site, partnerships, programmatic)
Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), and presentation development.
Collaborative mindset with team-player orientation.
Experience managing multiple timelines
Additional information
The annual salary range for this position is $68,000-$110,400. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
