Position Summary:  

The Senior Manager, Data Operations Analytics Engineer will partner with multiple stakeholders to design and build end-to-end processes to transform raw data into clean, reliable, well-documented datasets that serve as a single source of truth for Braeburn. This position is primarily focused on development of the enterprise data warehouse, including data onboarding, data extracting, data quality investigations, error diagnosis, ad hoc analytics, and support of reporting and AI enablement initiatives and systems.

Specific Duties: 

  • Manage and optimize data processes using SQL, Git, dbt, and command line tools to ensure efficient, reliable and repeatable workflows
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit and clarify business rules and translate them into technical requirements
  • Implement business rules in SQL via dbt to build the data warehouse
  • Define, code, and refine analytical workflows, leveraging Python and SQL to support new analyses and enhance existing solutions
  • Proactively monitor, validate, and safeguard data quality and integrity within the data warehouse, as well as across upstream and downstream systems
  • Apply strong version control and workflow management practices with Git and command-line interfaces, ensuring transparency, collaboration and reproducibility
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to surface meaningful data insights, driving informed decision-making and measurable organizational impact.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and continuously improve inbound and outbound data pipelines, ensuring the seamless flow of information across platforms and applications.
  • Act as a company champion for being data-driven by communicating insights in accessible terms, fostering adoption of analytics tools, and encouraging evidence-based change

Skills: 

  • In-depth and direct experience with analytical data warehouses (Redshift, Snowflake, Athena, DuckDB, etc.) required
  • Demonstrated applied experience with dbt preferred
  • Demonstrated practical experience working closely with AWS (QuickSight, S3, SageMaker, etc.) preferred
  • Familiarity with dimensional data modeling (Kimball)
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to perform critical review of various types of data
  • Ability to communicate clearly and directly about complex, technical topics
  • Demonstrated track record of success working autonomously and asynchronously

Education/Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent industry experience
  • 5+ years of data warehouse or analytics engineering experience, with at least 2 years of pharmaceutical Commercial Operations experience
  • Experience with common pharmaceutical industry data sources (such as IQVIA, Symphony Health, Specialty Pharmacies, Specialty Distributors)
  • Experience with AI and machine learning, preferred
