What you'll be doing

The Marketing Data Strategy and Governance team focus on driving client value and revenue through innovation and data modernization. As the Data & Analytics Testing Lead, you will be joining the larger Marketing Data & Adv. Analytics team, where you will lead testing and validation efforts across multiple concurrent strategic projects. You will be working alongside business leads, data engineers, data product owners and technology partners to validate new data and platform capabilities in accordance with CIBC’s Enterprise Delivery Framework (EDF). You will create a strategic framework for ensuring the data & analytics products are correct, employing the combination of multiple techniques such as unit testing, functional testing, integration testing and regression testing, to ensure that data is captured correctly with quality. You will coordinate testing efforts and execute on key test scenarios on cloud-based analytics platform. You will manage a repository of issues, and follow through to resolution in coordination with the data product owners and workstream leads.

How you'll succeed

  • You demonstrate commitment to Correctness and Accuracy:  3-7 years of experience leading efforts in QA, testing preferably for client-facing marketing & analytics function.  You understand complex data transformations, data lineages and have proven track record of ensuring that Analytics and Data Products are delivered correctly. Demonstrated ability to analyze root causes, develop solutions, and deep-dive into issues that are contributing to incorrect outcomes. You can formulate comprehensive strategy for testing net new builds from variety of source data systems.
  • You are have expertise with Data & Analytics, Marketing technology: You have experience delivering, building or testing data & analytics products. Exposure to projects related to database marketing, analytics, marketing campaigns, campaign execution, database design, ETL, would be an asset. Exposure to cloud-based platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks would be an asset. Experience with Sales Force Cloud suite, Adobe Experience Platform, Unica, and other marketing automation and CRM would be an asset.
