Position Overview:
The Instant Financial Issuance Cloud Service (IFIaaS) includes a wide array of components including web services, application servers, and databases. The Sr Manager, Cloud Services will be accountable for the team members’ deployment and maintenance of the IFIaaS applications in private cloud environments. Reporting to the Director, Cloud Operations, the Sr Manager will provide hands-on leadership of the Cloud Service Operations team (comprising Ops/SRE and DevOps functions) and work closely with the Infrastructure, DBA, Implementation, Support, R&D, Compliance, Security and Product Management teams and will be responsible for delivery of Entrust’s hosted and managed IFIaaS portfolio. As part of the leadership team, they will be participating in a 24x7 on-call manager rotational model.
Responsibilities:
Manage Cloud Service Operations team. Continuously evaluate all staff and contractor positions, responsibilities and individuals for appropriate performance, skills, growth & potential for improvement. Develop detailed plan for staffing changes, training, enrichment and personal development. Lead, mentor, and manage the team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Oversee end-to-end delivery and quality of IFIaaS services to ensure the service meets reliability, scalability, and customer satisfaction targets. Day to day technical operation of the primary datacenter (Denver) and Disaster Recovery (Minnesota), as well as public cloud elements. Ensure the IFIaaS service is meeting SLAs and PCI-CP requirements. Monitor IFIaaS service performance metrics and report regularly to stakeholders, including improvement actions.
Develop and oversee processes for identifying, resolving, and preventing incidents affecting SaaS services, ensure incidents are resolved in timely manner, plan and oversee maintenance, and manage on-call schedules.
Create and manage a technical and operational roadmap, delivery cadence, SLAs and compliance and audit obligations. Implement system enhancements (software) to improve performance and reliability of the IFIaaS solution. Enhance CI/CD pipeline and automation of operations.
Responsible for building and implementing system security, data-protection and disaster recovery procedures, plans and testing. Ensure SaaS offerings comply with Entrust corporate and industry standards and regulations (especially PCI-CP and SOC2), including data security and privacy requirements.
Research, evaluation and analysis of technologies and tools taking into consideration performance, cost/benefit, scalability, risk etc. Make appropriate suggestions and decisions related to purchase and implementation of new tools and processes.
Work with the Director, Cloud Operations and other leaders to define and implement the strategy for IFIaaS service offerings to meet organizational goals, market demands and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with support teams to facilitate customer onboarding, monitoring, analysis, and improved customer experiences with SaaS solutions.
Basic Qualifications:
College or University Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline and/or equivalent education and work experience
8+ years of High Availability, High Security, private Cloud SaaS services and the requisite rigor needed to operate in that environment
Must be able to complete all pre-employment documentation and background checks in accordance with “The Payment Card Industry (PCI) Card Production and Provisioning Physical Security Requirements, Section 2.1, Version 2.0, January 2017”
Design and deployment experience with most of the following technologies: Windows Server (2012, 2016 preferred), VMWare, MS-SQL (2012-2016 preferred), RedHat Linux, distributed, microservice cloud services.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Superior collaboration skills to work successfully with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills, including ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical staff
Where You Will Be: This role is fully in-office, requiring Five days a week onsite at one of Entrust’s offices in Minneapolis, MN or Denver, CO, as specified in the job description. Entrust operates with a distributed workforce, and this position is aligned with our in-office product development teams.
