Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Organize, assign, and delegate necessary engineering and design tasks to produce construction documents in conjunction with a team of engineers and designers.

  • Manage scope, budget, and schedule to meet project goals.

  • Coordinate and collaborate real time with other disciplines such as electrical, structural, architectural and process to develop designs.

  • Independently lead plant design activities as an area/system leader and coordinate with multi-discipline designers.

  • Perform Mech/HVAC/Dry/Cleanroom system plant design work in 2D/3D integrated design systems.

  • Perform quality review checks for 2D/3D modelling and Mech/HVAC/Dry systems/Cleanroom deliverables.

  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments and vendor bid evaluations.

  • Assist in the generation of proposals, scopes, schedules, and budgets for projects.

  • Effective Communication with client leads in understanding & delivering the scope of work on timely manner with utmost quality.

  • Perform. Design, review HVAC, Cleanroom, Process Exhaust system design for conceptual & detailed design engineering for Semiconductor, Life science project, Food & Beverage and Heavy Industries.

  • Perform headload, pressure drop calculation, Room book preparation, Preparation of PFD, PID, Equipment Layouts.

  • Provide input & guide the team towards preparation, review of Ducting, piping layout in 2D CAD, 3D Revit.

  • Preparation of technical specification, issue of equipment data sheets, Vendor drawing review & approval.

  • Should be highly experienced in client & project management.

  • Develops designer effort-hour estimates for Mech/HVAC discipline.

  • Exercise judgment in developing plans or alternatives and work with teams to assure quality plans.

  • Provide guidance and mentoring to project engineers and designers on a project-by-project basis.

  • Display strong communication and interpersonal skills and must have the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Minimum qualification of bachelor’s degree in building services/mechanical engineering.

  • Semiconductor & Life sciences/Pharma / FMCG / Food and beverage experience preferable, large scale industrial, skill sets: HVAC, cleanroom, wet and dry, calculations, specifications, detailing and sizing.

  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of working experience in Life sciences/Pharma / FMCG / Food and beverage projects.

  • Total of 8 to 15 years of Experience in Mech/HVAC design

  • Subject knowledge in cleanroom concepts, Process exhaust systems & HVAC systems for Semiconductor, Pharma projects and other industrial projects.

  • Hands on experience in using HAP, Pipeflo, CFD, Trace 3D software for HVAC application.

  • Proficient in Microsoft suite (Excel).

  • Relevant engineering/design experience in industrial/advanced technology sector/Life sciences.

  • Engineering/ design experience in the Mech/HVAC systems

  • Excellent English level - written and spoken.

  • Ability to interact with other engineering disciplines, clients, and vendors at all levels.

  • Experience using REVIT in a BIM environment.

  • Good understanding & Application of ASHRAE, SMACNA, ISO/ISPE, Cleanroom standards, International Mechanical Building codes & other relevant standards.
