Job Description:

As a Senior IT Data Specialist (AI Engineer) within the AI Platform team, you will lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced generative AI applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify agentic use cases, architect scalable solutions, and leverage the Microsoft Azure technology stack to deliver impactful business outcomes.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Design, develop, and deploy generative AI models for enterprise applications.
  • Identify, scope, and implement agentic use cases that leverage autonomous AI agents to drive business value.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions using Azure AI services.
  • Lead the integration of AI models into production environments, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Utilize Microsoft Azure offerings such as Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, and Azure Databricks, Azure Machine Learning Studio, Azure App Service, as well as infrastructure tools such as Kubernetes
  • Stay current with advancements in AI, generative models, Azure technologies, and proactively recommend innovative solutions.

CUSTOMER

  • Lead or provide expertise to Data Analysts / Specialists in defining and managing detailed system design for data integration processes or data marts/ warehouse builds or extensions
  • Interface with the architecture group to determine the overall solution and ensure conformance to established data management standards
  • Work closely with various technology teams, business systems analysis, development and project teams in the creation of detailed system requirements, specification documents related to Data Management initiatives and resolve information flow and content issues

SHAREHOLDER

  • Lead coordination efforts with other technology work teams such as, ITS, Architecture, TRMIS etc. to ensure project success
  • Perform or lead complex analysis in an evolving data environment and gather, analyze, document and maintain all data requirements related to the business applications, interfaces, and reporting environments in different kinds of data maps  

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in AI/ML model development, with a strong focus on generative AI (e.g., LLMs, diffusion models, transformers).
  • Proven experience designing and implementing agentic AI solutions (autonomous agents, workflow automation, etc.).
  • Hands-on expertise with the Microsoft Azure technology stack, including but not limited to:
  • Copilot Studio
  • Azure AI Foundry
  • Azure Machine Learning
  • Azure OpenAI Service
  • Azure Databricks
  • Azure Application Services
  • MS SQL Server
  • Proficiency in Python, and familiarity with AI tools such as LangGraph and Model Context Protocol
  • Experience in Docker and Kubernetes in building scalable & resilient applications
  • Experience with MLOps, model monitoring, and responsible AI practices.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor team members

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with prompt engineering and fine-tuning large language models. Familiarity with cloud security, data privacy, and compliance in AI solutions.
  • Experience with Agentic AI tools, including MCP and A2A
