About the team

Our Internal Audit team helps Careem grow with confidence by providing independent insight into how we manage risk, strengthen controls, and improve operations. We take a forward-looking approach to identify areas for improvement and help Careem grow responsibly, securely, and sustainably.

Our team partners closely with stakeholders across every part of the business, combining traditional audit discipline with innovative, data-driven methods to build a stronger, more resilient organization for the future.

 

What you'll do

  • Plan and execute end-to-end audit projects in accordance with the internal audit plan.
  • Develop audit scopes, perform risk assessments, and identify key control areas to evaluate.
  • Utilize data analytics, SQL, and emerging AI tools to enhance audit efficiency, automate testing, and identify patterns or anomalies.
  • Collaborate with business units to assess process risks, recommend control improvements, and monitor remediation progress.
  • Support the continuous improvement of the audit methodology, tools, and documentation standards.
  • Participate in special reviews, investigations, and advisory projects as required.
  • Prepare and present high-quality audit reports with practical recommendations to senior management.
  • Track, validate, and report on the implementation status of audit findings, ensuring agreed actions are completed effectively and within defined timelines.
  • Stay updated on evolving risks, technologies, and industry trends relevant to Careem’s business lines.

 

What you'll need

  • A strong analytical mindset, intellectual curiosity, and a sense of ownership to drive audits and initiatives independently
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in internal audit, external audit, or risk advisory
  • Experience in Big 4 firms (in Internal Audit, Risk Advisory, or Technology Risk) or in a tech-driven or regional enterprise is highly preferred
