As a Senior ILS Engineer within the ILS/Obsolescence team you will provide support and guidance to meet the businesses ILS contracted requirements for Key UK Defence Programmes, and further the development of the Integrated Logistics Support Discipline.

Responsibilities:
Support ILS Activities including
Carry out analysis to assess the impact of change to system support solution
Supporting Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
Level Of Repair Analysis (LORA)
Life Cycle Costing Analysis (LCCA)
Packaging, Handling Storage and Transportation (PHS&T)
Training
Disposal issues, detailing hazardous materials/substances or security aspects that impact disposal
ILS/Obsolescence Responsibilities
Produce ILS Management Plans to align with business ILS Strategy and compliance with DEF STAN 00-600;
Carry out Proactive & Reactive Obsolescence activities across multiple Engineering Systems;
Support Obsolescence activities through contract and Systems life, including identifying Resolution Options IAW BS EN-IEC-62402-2019;
Identify Spares holdings of items and be cognisant of MoD Spares Policy and NATO Codification activities;
Support ARM Reporting including Reliability Block Diagrams to determine system redundancies and critical items;
Support Customers Maintenance Policy, including interpreting UMMS Maintenance Schedules and Operator and Maintainer Manuals, and attending Reliability Cantered Maintenance (RCM) meetings where mandated;
Support Bid activities by challenging Customer Requirements Documentation and write Basis of Estimates for Deliverables and Level of effort;
Ensure project compliance to ILS Requirements & Demonstrate the value of ILS engineering to all stakeholders and drive the importance of proactive ILS management techniques;
To Understand the Engineering Lifecycle, and the difference between contract life, and system life.

We are looking for:
Proven experience in delivering and communicating ILS within the UK Defence industry, with an Engineering Degree or equivalent relevant experience in Support Engineering with a HNC Level 4 Qualification or equivalent.
Knowledge and application of relevant international standards
Knowledge and application of relevant of UK Defence Standards
Knowledge and experience of ILS application within UK Defence Maritime Surface and Sub-Surface platforms
Knowledge and experience of ILS application relating to Control Systems and Software
