Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for CT image generation algorithm development and image quality evaluation on the technology roadmap and realizing the designs on new product programs.
- Lead image quality integration of image chain components, perform physics and image quality technical risk retirement. Develop physics models to enable CT image quality performance tradeoff analysis and specification allocation.
- Develop CT image quality performance metrics and specifications, allocate specifications across key image chain components, and perform performance tradeoff analysis.
- Innovate new calibration and correction algorithms, develop and demonstrate feasibility with prototypes. Developing analysis methods and models to quantify subsystem interactions and their effects on image quality.
- Working with Customers, Marketing and field personnel to refine requirements which can be refined by the engineering teams. Delivering and incorporating customer feedback results into new hardware and/or algorithm designs. Collaborate with clinical partners to evaluate new features and technologies.
- Support requirements traceability, design process and system verification activities. Provide support for manufacturing and the field.
- Have good understanding of AI based image processing technology.
Required Qualifications
- Masters degree with 5 years Image Quality relevant work experience or PhD in Physics, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or closely related discipline.
- Proven ability to develop timely and effective solutions for challenging design problems
- Expertise in the physics of CT Imaging system and experience in the development/analysis of image reconstruction, calibration and correction algorithms
- Experience modeling / simulating the performance of medical imaging systems and the use of analysis software tools such as MATLAB, IDL or PV-Wave
- Broad exposure to algorithm design for image processing and calibration and expertise in performance modeling, image quality evaluation for CT product.
- Proven track record of innovation and publication in the scientific or industrial setting.
