Job Description:

About the Role

As Shell continues to transform, our HR Function is at the heart of enabling business success through strategic people solutions. We are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking HR professional to join our HR Advice team supporting line managers in Germany.

This is not a typical advisory role—it’s a strategic enabler. As Senior HR Advisor, you will partner with line managers to deliver high-impact HR support, drive team effectiveness, and lead cross-functional projects that shape Shell’s performance and transformation agenda.

What You’ll Do

  • Act as a trusted advisor to line managers on complex and sensitive HR matters, providing operational and tactical guidance that drives business performance.
  • Lead HR projects such as reorganizations and policy rollouts, ensuring alignment with business goals and timely execution.
  • Deliver end-to-end HR solutions across areas like Performance Management, Development, Policy Guidance, Exit/Redundancy, Absence Management, International Mobility, Benefits, and site-specific practices.
  • Coach and empower managers to navigate HR topics confidently and compliantly, fostering ownership and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Employee Representative bodies and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless HR delivery and risk mitigation.
  • Act as a change agent, supporting transformation initiatives and driving process simplification.
  • Champion employee experience by anticipating manager needs and delivering timely, relevant, and impactful HR support.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: Minimum 4+ years of progressive HR experience with a strong track record in stakeholder partnering and project leadership.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in German and English (C1 level).
  • Expertise: Deep understanding of German HR processes and labor law, ideally within an international environment.

Core Skills:

  • Business partnering and strategic thinking
  • Coaching, influencing, and decision-making
  • Managing ambiguity and solving complex problems under pressure
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in HR or related field preferred.
  • Mindset: High ownership, empathy, assertiveness, and a continuous improvement orientation.
  • Technical Skills: Strong analytical mindset and HR data fluency; proficiency in HR systems and tools.

What We Offer

A dynamic, inclusive environment where you can shape the future of work.

Opportunities to lead impactful projects and contribute to Shell’s transformation journey.

Competitive compensation and benefits aligned with your experience and expertise.

Opportunities for learning, development, and career growth

Hybrid working model (min 2 days a week from our office in Krakow)

Benefits Overview

We offer an annual performance bonus paid in February, along with a comprehensive benefits package. This includes Shell-sponsored medical and life insurance, with options to extend coverage at competitive rates. Our employees benefit from a diverse and inclusive culture where care and wellbeing are a priority. Our employees enjoy vacation benefit, three additional Personal Leave Days, dedicated wellbeing spaces, subsidized canteen, 24/7 access to psychologist, a Cafeteria program and sports cards. We foster integration through team activities, employee clubs, and networks. Our hybrid work model is supported by a Workplace Accessibility program, and we offer access to online learning platforms and a broad range of development resources. Additional benefits include participation in a voluntary long-term savings plan (PPK), discounts on pension products [IKE/IKZE) and a discounted share
purchase program.
