We’re seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join our Financial Operations team. This role is pivotal in driving financial performance, optimizing operational efficiency, and supporting key decision-making across the organization. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Financial Operations, the Senior Financial Analyst (Financial Operations) plays a key role in analyzing financial performance across our store operations, supply chain and merchandising divisions.

About the Role

  • Leverage advanced analytics to deliver actionable insights and drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Build and maintain robust financial models to support strategic initiatives and business cases.
  • Provide supportive analysis and recommendations to guide long-term financial planning and growth.
  • Identify and implement process enhancements that optimize efficiency and strengthen financial operations.
  • Manage cross-functional projects, integrating systems to improve operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting legislation through detailed auditing and reconciliation.
  • Participate in system upgrades, testing cycles, and implementation of new automated solutions.
  • Monitor daily sales trends and investigate anomalies to ensure data integrity and timely resolution of errors.
  • Review and approve reconciliations of general ledger accounts, maintaining accuracy across daily, weekly, and periodic cycles.
  • Support and mentor team members, leading training sessions to elevate financial acumen and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with internal and external audit teams to ensure smooth year-end processes and compliance.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to advance strategic initiatives that enhance growth, streamline operations, and improve financial outcomes.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support operations.

About You

  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent work experience
  • 4–6 years of experience in financial analysis.
  • An accounting designation is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in financial processes and complex data analysis methodologies following established accounting principles and standards.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power BI, with strong working knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA and SAP Fiori considered strong assets.
  • Demonstrated success in leading system enhancements, automating workflows, and resolving complex financial discrepancies.
  • Experience with system implementation, including test script development, testing tools, and documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptable, self-motivated, and capable of building and sustaining strong business relationships.
