High visibility, critical role in the Systems Protection Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, supporting core financial processes (i.e., Annual Operating Plan, Quarterly Forecasts, Monthly and Weekly Reporting, Analysis & Digitization) and supporting leadership communications. The role is key in driving predictability, accountability and analysis throughout the Systems Protection Segment and by partnering with other enterprise functional leaders and finance teams.
Involved in the end-to-end development of annual operating plans including process flow, timeline, scenario loading and financial consolidation.
Assist with the quarterly forecast processes with an emphasis on developing high quality forecasts with a detailed understanding of potential risks and opportunities, including maintaining a working forecasting model.
Tracks and analyzes performance against the financial plan, forecast and prior year. Works to identify root cause for shortfalls and partner with business on countermeasures.
Supports data collection and consolidation required to understand sales and margin analysis, structural cost analysis, customer and product profitability, pricing, market dynamics and working capital optimization.
Supports the monthly close process and analyzes results to report to business partners.
Finance Partner with Selling, Marketing and R&D functions to build plans, ensure they are met and understand variances.
Maintains a standard reporting package to communicate results to management and the leadership team. Summarizes key conclusions and recommends opportunities for improvement where appropriate.
Develops the tools to support analyzing the results and performance of new products, the sales channels, vertical markets, product lines or categories and geographical regions.
Find opportunities for improving financial processes and use Lean tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of those processes.
Support key initiatives such as the OneStream XF, BI, acquisition integration and other prioritized activities.
YOU HAVE:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with knowledge of US GAAP and International Accounting Standards (IAS).
3+ years of experience in Financial Planning, Operational Finance, or Corporate Finance preferred.
Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and familiarity with Tableau and OneStream XF preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good judgment and creative thinking.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and influence effectively.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing timelines and maintaining confidentiality.
High level of organization, flexibility, and resilience under time constraints.

Pay Transparency
nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range:
Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
