Provide expertise in the fields of hydrology, project management and business development while developing and collaborating with a team to deliver high quality products.

As a Senior Environmental Scientist, you will join our Calgary, Alberta office as part of our Environmental Sciences and Planning team.
The successful applicant will be involved in a broad range of projects with responsibilities as follows:
Active participation in maintaining Montrose’s strong safety culture
Provide technical, project management and BD leadership on environmental regulatory applications in line with regulation
Lead and/or support colleagues in developing and maintaining project opportunities with existing and new clients
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistency and quality in project execution
Offer mentorship, training and technical guidance to junior staff
Work as project manager for projects and proposals. Tasks include developing project proposals, work plans and project budgets, budget forecasting, resource management, change-order management and client invoicing
Liaise with contractors and external stakeholders
What We Are Looking For
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in a science
10+ years of work experience in environmental consulting or related industry
Knowledge and practical application of environmental issues and constraints affecting biophysical resources
Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams as a technical advisor or technical reviewer
Strong communication ability, both written and oral, with excellent interpersonal skills
Demonstrate leadership and communication skills in a collaborative environment
Valid class 5 driver’s license with no restrictions

This is a permanent position with a salary range of $120,000-$130,000, starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location.
