The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is hiring a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the St. Louis Site Engineering Staffing Tiger Team located in Berkeley, MO.
This dedicated Tiger Team was formed to centralize and accelerate hiring and placing candidates quickly into roles where they can best contribute to program success.
We are seeking a results-driven leader to take ownership for daily hiring throughput, KPI-driven decisions, requisition centralization, and cross‑functional stakeholder alignment. The Senior Manager will operationalize capability-aligned hiring teams and drive execution to meet sitewide aggressive staffing targets.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead St. Louis Site Engineering Capability Hiring Focals to execute the Tiger Team (TT) hiring effort for St. Louis Engineering: daily oversight, roadblock removal, and cadence enforcement.
Lead daily scrums, monitor and report health and progress of each capability hiring team; escalate blockers and propose mitigation.
Execute weekly hiring throughput targets and monitor staffing KPIs to analyze trends, prioritize actions and make business decisions to utilize all staffing levers.
Drive skill-based requisition centralization
Promote the hiring team structure and operating rhythm for resume reviews, interviews, offers, and onboarding.
Prepare and deliver weekly and ad hoc progress reports to the Air Dominance Division Chief Engineer; maintain staffing charts and other leadership presentations.
Partner closely with Global Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Division, Business Unit and Enterprise Workforce leadership, capability leaders, TT analysts, and capability hiring focals
Maintain clear, timely communications with all stakeholders; respond to hiring manager questions and redirect out-of-scope requests appropriately
Lead, coach, and manage assigned staff analysts; identify and request necessary resources.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
5 years’ experience leading technical hiring or staffing operations.
3 years’ experience defining hiring processes, and manager engagement plans.
Experience working with Global Talent Acquisition/HR and hiring managers to drive requisition workflows.
Experience managing teams (analysts/coordinators) and mentoring staff.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Excellent stakeholder management and communications skills; comfortable presenting to leadership.
Demonstrated ability to use KPIs to drive decisions and improve throughput.
Experience with Workday: Adaptive Planning: familiarity with inputs and entries and ability to data mine
Experience with requisition centralization, candidate pooling, and staffing lever optimization.
Strong project management skills: capacity planning, resource allocation, and operating-rhythm design.
Proficiency with reporting tools (Power BI, Excel advanced functions) to produce leadership-ready charts and dashboards.
Experience working with Global Talent Acquisition/HR and hiring managers to drive requisition workflows.
Experience managing teams (analysts/coordinators) and mentoring staff.
