Senior Test Engineer - Product Development

About the Role
As a Senior Test Engineer in our Product Development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cost-effective methods for testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment throughout all phases of product development and manufacturing.
With minimal guidance, you will lead the preparation of test and diagnostic programs, design advanced test fixtures and equipment, and develop comprehensive specifications and procedures for new products. You will independently plan labor, schedules, and equipment requirements for testing and evaluating both standard and specialized devices, while mentoring junior engineers and driving continuous improvement in test methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test Case Development: Lead the design and implementation of comprehensive test strategies and methodologies across multiple product lines, ensuring optimal test coverage and efficiency.
  • Test Fixtures Design: Design and oversee the development of advanced test fixtures and equipment that accurately measure and validate product specifications under demanding conditions.
  • Procedure Development: Create and standardize test setups and procedures that ensure devices comply with industry and company standards, while optimizing for cost and efficiency.
  • Resource Planning: Independently plan and coordinate resources including labor, schedules, and equipment allocation across multiple projects to optimize testing activities and timelines.
  • Troubleshooting: Resolve complex technical issues in systems and equipment throughout the development process, applying advanced analytical problem-solving techniques and leading troubleshooting efforts.
  • Quality Assurance: Develop and optimize testing processes that exceed established quality standards and requirements, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Qualification Testing: Spearhead qualification efforts for multiple product lines to meet market standards and customer requirements, providing technical guidance to cross-functional teams.
  • PCB Design: Lead the design and oversee the manufacture of complex PCBs for test setups and evaluation boards that enable effective product testing across various applications.

Key Qualifications

  • Proficiency in using Automatic Test Equipment and development software
  • Strong understanding of test methodologies and characterization techniques
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Experienced with laboratory work-testing with Analog, RF and digital hardware, including practical experienced with network analyzer, signal analyzer and spectrum analyzer


Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Typically requires 5+ years of relevant experience in test engineering or a related discipline.
