Job Description:

Primary Purpose of Role:

Responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of facility construction and maintenance projects. A member of the Advanced Test Technology team will focus on development and implementation of test facility power infrastructure, test system integration, test and facility equipment controls, and facility safety systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and support design and implementation of facility safety equipment and procedures.
  • Facilitate capture of stakeholder requirements and lead development of specifications and drawings.
  • Deliver test facility and equipment solutions that meet stakeholder requirements.
  • Coordinate facility maintenance requirements, procedures and training for the hand-off of new facilities to operations and maintenance organizations.
  • Support development of facility and equipment specifications, estimates, budgets, and appropriation requests.
  • Support procurement of construction contract services and oversee active construction projects.
  • Act as liaison to cross-functional stakeholder organizations for facilities and equipment installation projects.

  • Successful completion of construction projects within budget and on time
  • Completion of design documentation to support new and existing product development programs
  • Development, procurement and, integration of new test equipment to support new and existing product development programs
  • Timely maintenance and repair of electrical systems

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or related engineering field 

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant project management experience
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience managing technically complex engineering projects
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse and solve technical problems with a systematic method
  • Basic abilities with Computer Aided Design tools, such as AutoCAD

  • Able to plan and organize own work or direct peers with similar tasks
  • Direction given in broad terms, but work is self-identified and develops procedures.
