As Baker Hughes Emissions Strategy Leader, your key responsibilities are:
Team Leadership & Execution
Lead, coach and develop a diversified team to deliver strategic projects and solutions, ensuring timely, high-quality execution and operational excellence.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement, aligned with Baker Hughes’ eight behaviors.
Sustainability Advisory Services & EmInsights
Support the delivery and growth of Sustainability Advisory Services (GCea), including market segmentation, value proposition development, and client engagement.
Oversee the EmInsights program, ensuring the strategic rollout of verifiable emissions data and emissions data sheets, and supporting business model development and execution.
Act as a commercial enabler, translating technical solutions into business value for customers and the enterprise.
Enhance governance and controls for Sustainability Advisory solutions, collaborating with Commercial Operations leaders to drive robust, repeatable processes that ensure quality, consistency, and compliance with internal and external standards.
Support and develop the community of Baker Hughes LCA practitioners, fostering best practices in the use of the Baker Hughes life cycle assessment tool, FastLCA for accurate GHG emissions quantification, and maintaining alignment with evolving customer needs and external market requirements. Enhance governance and controls for the LCA process, including periodic updates and maintenance (i.e., annual emission factors updates).
Support the governance and controls of Sustainability Advisory solutions, collaborating with Commercial Operations leaders to drive a robust process
Stakeholder Engagement & Commercial Enablement
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Business Segments, Emissions Management, Commercial, and Sales teams; external customers, industry groups (as applicable) and external LCA community.
Support and educate GCea (GaffneyCline Energy Advisory) colleagues as they expand their role in commercial sales of LCA and emissions advisory services. Provide training, mentorship, and knowledge transfer to ensure GCea team members are equipped to represent Baker Hughes’ LCA capabilities and deliver value to clients.
Collaborate with GCea to develop and refine go-to-market strategies, value propositions, and client-facing materials for LCA and emissions quantification offerings.
Drive customer-facing impact by supporting proposals, tenders, and advisory projects, and by promoting Baker Hughes as a thought leader in emissions accounting and sustainability advisory.
Collaborate to embed sustainability expertise into business processes and solutions, supporting New Energy, Mature Asset Solutions, and Digital Delivery.
Process & Program Management
Oversee project management rigor, ensuring all deliverables are tracked, risks are managed, and milestones are met.
Ensure knowledge management, training, and capacity building for the team, with a focus on knowledge transfer and upskilling of the Sustainability team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Fuel Your Passion:
To be To be successful in this role you will have:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in emissions quantification, sustainability strategy, or related project management.
Proven experience leading teams and delivering complex projects on time.
Strong understanding of life cycle assessments, ISO standards (14040, 14044, 14067), and emissions quantification methodologies.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated commitment to Baker Hughes’ eight behaviors.
Experience supporting or collaborating on LCA application development (not as direct technical lead).
Familiarity with industry LCA software (SimaPro, Gabi) and emissions factor databases.
Track record of driving process improvements and operational excellence.
Commercial acumen and ability to enable business growth through sustainability solutions.
