In this role you will be doing a little bit of this and a little bit of that while getting hands on with mechatronics, systems validation, and electronic troubleshooting activities making good use of your electrical engineering degree.  You will have opportunities to be involved with the introduction of new products, working side by side with the engineering teams, customers, program management, and operations teams.  We are looking for motivated self-starting individuals to operate at a high level and be an advocate for the Electronics Systems Integration Team.

What You Will Do:

In this role you will support the Electronic Systems Integration Team as the onsite engineering focal point, working across multiple functions to deliver advanced systems. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the engineering representative for assigned projects and tasks.

  • Working independently and within cross-functional teams.

  • Staying up to date with all seating actuation system regulations, modifications, and technical advances.

  • Reviewing, analysing, and resolving technical issues at LRU and system level.

  • Troubleshooting embedded electronic systems and recommending solutions.

  • Supporting strategic planning efforts for complex programs.

  • Preparing and presenting progress reports.

  • Providing technical support for root cause analysis and corrective action.

  • Implementing changes and upgrades within manufacturing site processes.

  • Reviewing and creating Qualification Test Plans, Procedures, and Reports.

  • Domestic and international travel (approx. 25%) in support of customer events and business needs.

Skills We Value:

  • Ability to work independently and within a multi-functional team environment.
  • Strong technical understanding of design architectures for electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of RTCA/DO-160, RTCA DO-178 and RTCA/DO-254 processes
  • Electrical circuit analysis, FMEA and FMECA experience.

Essential Criteria: 

  • Degree level qualification in a relevant engineering discipline plus a minimum of 5+ year’s relevant engineering experience. 

OR 

  • A higher level qualification, such as HNC/HND, in a relevant engineering discipline and 6+ years relevant engineering experience.

OR 

  • A relevant apprenticeship with 8+ years’ experience in Engineering. 

OR

  • Hold a Third Level Education in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a comparable engineering role.

Desirable Criteria: 

    • Working knowledge of lean principles 
    • Working knowledge in an assembly/ manufacturing environment 
    • Experience of Aerospace procedures and regulations 
    • Familiarity with New Product Development & Introduction (APQP)
    • CAD systems experience
