About the Role:

We are looking for a Sr Electrical Engineer to develop advanced embedded circuitry and hardware powering our next-generation Cameras, drones, LiDAR modules, and robotic platforms. In this highly technical role, you will design and create circuity, PCBAs and solutions for complex multi-faceted systems. The electronic heart of 3D capture solutions that directly interface with complex sensors, actuators, and compute modules—driving autonomy, control systems and data gathering across our products.

This position is in Sunnyvale, CA and is onsite Monday through Friday

What you will do:

· Circuitry design, PCB Design, sensor integration, solution testing and validation. Sensor & Hardware Integration: Interface with LiDARs, IMUs, GPS, RTK, cameras, and other

components via Ethernet, SPI, I2C, CAN, UART, and custom protocols.

· Hardware Bring-up: Lead board bring-up efforts for new prototypes and production hardware.

· Diagnostics & Debugging: Use tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and accelerometers to troubleshoot system-level issues.

· System Optimization: Improve performance, power consumption, and reliability for embedded platforms under constrained environments.

· Development, system testing and technical roadmapping.

· Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Work with mechanical, electrical, perception, and AI teams to ensure seamless hardware-software integration.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS/MS/PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or a related field from an accredited, not-for-profit, in-person college/university.
  • 5+ years of embedded systems experience, ideally in robotics, aerospace, or automotive environments.
  • Understand basics of control theory.
  • Knowledge of best practices for EMI robustness. Experience with sensors and electronic systems, have designed all parts of a hardware product.
  • Maker mindset, you have no problem grabbing a tool to just go get that prototype built!
  • Experienced in first principles engineering and problem solving
  • Track record of commitment to prior employers

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Firmware capability.
  • Experience with control systems (e.g., PID, ESCs, PWM, motor drivers).
  • Proficiency in C/C++ for microcontrollers and embedded motor control and/or sensor based systems.
  • Python scripting for test automation or debugging.

Pay Transparency:

This position offers a Total Compensation range from $145,000-$199,400 determined by relevant skills and experience, in addition to a generous benefits plan.
