Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Electrical Designer to join our team! In this role you will get to design electrical systems for complex US Government facilities.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Utilizes a CAD workstation to prepare difficult and complex layout and design drawings and 3D models utilizing theoretical and practical design knowledge.
  • Interprets and ensures conformance to applicable standards and codes, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Understands and utilizes more advanced software to complete assignments.
  • Collaborates with Engineers and other discipline designers to ensure coordinated, accurate design systems.
  • Meets layout requirements and develops alternate design layouts of systems as required.
  • Ensures compliance with required design safety factors, tolerances, and specifications.
  • Reviews supplier data and supplier/manufacturer drawings, as required.
  • Checks orthographic (2D) and/or isometric (3D) drawings prepared by others.
  • Performs checking procedures as appropriate to the discipline and assigned by immediate supervisor.
  • Assists in training lower-level Designers in various technical procedures, as needed.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Associate's Degree 2-year technical degree (or equivalent) is preferred
  • 8+ years of related experience
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Proficiency utilizing CAD and modeling software including AutoCAD and Revit
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with computer software used in design assignments
  • Ability to apply advanced CAD techniques


What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Knowledge of NFPA 70
  • Working knowledge of photometric calculations

Salary Range: $35.05 - $61.35
