ROLE SUMMARY
The Senior Director, PC Patient Access is responsible for the execution and performance evaluation of the newly created Patient Access Coordinator (PAC) capability. She/He will oversee the National PAC strategy. Leading the CSO PAC function to drive the implementation and agreed upon KPI’s of the PC Patient Access Coordinators (PACs). The individual will report directly to the PC Field & Patient Access Lead and will be responsible for the Pfizer Migraine portfolio and assessing the need for patient access support across Primary Care. They will work cross functionally with CSO Leadership, Field Access Leadership, Digital, Director of Field Access Operations, Director of Business Analytics, Access & Reimbursement Marketer, Patient Affordability, Legal and Compliance with a key focus on executing a patient first approach to impact the patient access journey. The individual will collaborate with Field Access Directors and CSO Leadership to ensure seamless rollout of the strategic vision of Pfizer Primary Care’s access and reimbursement program within the parameters of the organization’s compliance expectations/guidelines.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Performance
Lead the national execution and expansion of the Patient Access Coordinator capability.
Create and build Patient and Account engagement strategy including call scripts and partnering with compliance to develop the monitoring tactics.
Develop and provide KPIs and tactics while providing insights to Primary Care leadership, Field Access Leadership, Marketing, Director of Business Analytics, SAS, Digital, and Payer Solutions.
Review National KPI performance, market, and access trends, to assess performance and provide necessary PAC coaching to change tactics, execution and/or strategy.
In collaboration with CSO Leadership prepare and present national business reviews on quarterly and annual basis. Develop additional ad-hoc reports as required for PC Field Access and Primary Care business Leadership.
Collaborate with PC Lead, Field/Patient Access and CSO Leadership to manage the defined SOW, and all budgetary items to appropriately assign allocations and resources.
Optimize national PAC capability through deployment, alignment, and vacancy management.
Provide insights to help develop and lead the national execution of strategies and tactics aligned with Op Plan

Provide the PAC team leaders the tools to enable effective coaching and development to support their PAC team members. Manage operational standards, and evaluation of performance and ensuring compliance.
Champion the Purpose of Blueprint 2.0, Ambitions, Bold Moves and Values and ensure behaviors are modeled by all colleagues within nation.
Collaborate with CSO on performance evaluations for mid-year and year end.
Collaborate with fellow leaders to share successes, best practices, and experiences.
Lead and set clear accountability with CSO PAC team for execution of National strategies and goals.
Understanding and applying co-employment guardrails in engaging with the CSO.
People and Culture:

In coordination with CSO leadership, coach the PAC team colleagues on development, oversee recruiting qualifications, hiring, timelines, vacancy management, performance management, terminations, and the diversity initiatives within organizational guidance.
Lead and hold accountable the CSO for the national HR related processes to include, but not limited to consistency in interviewing and hiring practices, Annual Goal Setting, and Year-End Process.
Lead and ensure a compliant culture within the nation regarding all Pfizer policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
Create a program culture that aligns with Pfizer’s core values (courage, excellence, equity, joy) through effective management of internal colleagues and external partnerships.
Market/Customer/Cross-Functional Team:
Understand the customer, market drivers, and provide insights and feedback to internal stakeholders to influence Access & Reimbursement strategy.
Actively liaise consistent with Pfizer policy with cross- functional team as needed (e.g. SAS, Patient Solutions Marketing, Access and Patient Support Marketing, Commercial Excellence, Brand Marketing, Legal, Compliance) to optimize appropriate patient services.
Facilitate strong communication by gathering feedback from PAC and FAL Leadership colleagues to provide field perspective to leadership, Senior Director, and the cross-functional team on local customer market information, Pfizer marketing programs, trends, policies, and procedures.
Participate in business planning by providing input and feedback on current program drivers and tactics, outlining opportunities, challenges, and risks.
Maintain technical expertise in access & reimbursement knowledge, customer market perspective, and market knowledge.
Develop a thorough understanding of the drivers of local market dynamics.
Service Measurement and Refinement:
Continuously monitor, review, maintain and ensure compliance with policies and procedures related to patient access support services.
Monitor trends in KPIs and conduct business analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and program optimization.
Influence and drive accountability with CSO leadership on SOW Service Level Agreements (SLAs) by sharing data driven insights during monthly and quarterly business reviews.
Ensure the continuous improvement of patient access services, processes, and systems through collaboration with the operational support teams. (Technology, IT, Digital, SaS, etc.)
Develop a voice of the customer program to gather feedback to understand pain points and identify solutions for arising challenges and issues.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 15 years pharmaceutical industry experience, with 5+ years of increasing responsibility in access & reimbursement, patient facing and support roles and/or coding and reimbursement. Matrixed leadership experience required.
Strong understanding of Access and Reimbursement, Patient support roles, Government Payment Systems, Provider/Carrier Networks, Co-Pay Assistance Programs, and knowledge of the CGRP Payer Policy Dynamics.
Experience demonstrating exceptional communication and presentation skills, strategic planning, and success in plan implementation.
This individual must also have demonstrated executive leadership with success at working across multiple functions (external and internal) and be able to lead the collaboration with various stakeholders to coordinate multiple unique objectives.
Demonstrated ability to work in a highly regulated environment and adhere to strict company compliance guidelines and procedures.
Proven track record of collaborating broadly with a diverse range of customers, clients, and stakeholders.
Training in and experience in responsible business communication both written and spoken.
Adherence to Regulatory and Compliance
B.S. Degree is required and additional certification in coding and reimbursement is preferred.
