The Senior Director, Oncology Marketing is strategic leadership role in preparing for the launch of Corcept’s first oncology product, relacorilant in platinum resistant ovarian cancer. Reporting to the Vice President of Oncology Marketing, this individual will be responsible for driving brand strategy, leading HCP and patient marketing, and ensuring successful launch execution. The ideal candidate brings deep oncology expertise, strategic leadership, and a proven ability to translate customer insights into actionable strategies in a fast-paced, growth stage environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the US HCP and patient oncology marketing team in delivering a highly successful launch for relacorilant in ovarian cancer and future pipeline assets. Foster a high-performing, collaborative and innovative team culture
- Provide global brand leadership, developing and executing data-driven, cross-functionally integrated marketing strategies that drive product adoption. Partner with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Business Analytics, and Sales to ensure strategic alignment and excellence in execution
- Lead market development and disease education initiatives to raise awareness of the glucocorticoid receptor pathway in cancer and its potential as a novel therapeutic approach. Partner with Medical Affairs in building relationships with KOLs and patient advocacy groups
- Lead marketing promotional activities. Ensure alignment of tactical plans with the brand strategy, budget, and business impact. Drive messaging consistency through the organization and across personal and non-personal channels. Collaborate with Sales leadership and Training to ensure effective field execution
- Collaborate in the design and implementation of a robust omnichannel marketing strategy that delivers personalized, insight-driven customer experiences across platforms
- Establish and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure brand performance, ensuring accountability for achieving business objectives and continuous optimization
- Manage agency partnerships, budgets, and workflow to ensure creative excellence, operational efficiency, and alignment with strategic business objectives
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory, legal, and medical standards across all marketing materials, maintaining the highest level of scientific accuracy and ethical integrity
- Champion Corcept’s key principles by fostering collaboration, embracing innovation, grounding decisions in data, and leading by example, ensuring all initiatives reflect the company’s ethics and unwavering commitment to patients
Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Technical Proficiencies:
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing marketing teams, fostering accountability, innovation, and professional growth
- Demonstrated excellence in strategic planning, communication, and project execution within complex, fast-paced environments
- Demonstrated strength collaborating cross-functionally across the organization
- Extensive experience managing external agency partnerships and collaborating across functions to deliver integrated, high-impact commercial strategies
- Deep understanding of the regulatory and compliance frameworks governing pharmaceutical and oncology promotions, with a track record of ensuring rigor and integrity in execution
- Success operating in small to mid-sized biopharmaceutical organizations, balancing strategic vision with hands-on execution to drive results
Preferred Education and Experience:
- BS/BA degree (science or business degree preferred); MBA preferred
- 12+ years of experience in biotech / pharmaceutical marketing with at least 5 years in oncology, including a deep understanding of HCP and patient marketing. Experience in solid tumor and women’s cancer preferred
- Position based at Corcept’s headquarters in Redwood Shores, California, with approximately 20% travel required
The pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this headquarters-based position is $212,200 - $312,000; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on legitimate considerations, including geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education.
