Position Summary:

The Senior Director of Integrated Marketing is a strategic and hands-on marketing leader responsible for connecting brand strategy, campaign planning, and channel execution to drive awareness, engagement, and reputation for Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art and The Momentary.

This role serves as the central connector between institutional priorities and audience engagement — translating goals into integrated marketing campaigns across paid, owned, and earned channels. The Senior Director leads teams spanning campaign strategy, social media, email, and marketing operations, ensuring Crystal Bridges’ storytelling is cohesive, data-informed, and audience-centered.

Principal Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Serve as the strategic architect for Crystal Bridges’ integrated marketing framework — uniting audience insights, campaign planning, and performance measurement.
  • Translate institutional priorities into clear, actionable marketing strategies that advance awareness, engagement, and reputation.
  • Partner closely with the CMO to align marketing performance with organizational KPIs: Reach, Revenue, and Reputation.
  • Collaborate with Creative and Digital teams to ensure marketing strategies are supported by strong storytelling, design, and digital experiences.
  • Guide the development of audience segmentation and insights to ensure campaigns are relevant and measurable.

Team & Cross-Functional Management

  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team spanning campaign strategy, social media, email marketing, and marketing delivery.
  • Oversee Campaign Strategy Leads, Social and Email Strategy, and the Marketing Delivery function to ensure seamless planning and execution.
  • Build and sustain a high-performing culture grounded in collaboration, trust, and accountability.
  • Partner closely with the Creative Director and Digital Experiences Director to deliver fully integrated campaigns and brand moments.
  • Elevate internal processes for campaign planning, briefings, and performance reviews to improve quality, agility, and consistency.

Channel & Campaign Integration

  • Lead integrated campaign planning across exhibitions, programs, and institutional initiatives.
  • Oversee development of the social media and email strategy, ensuring alignment with brand tone, creative direction, and audience goals.
  • Ensure consistent cross-channel storytelling that advances Crystal Bridges’ positioning as America’s Art Museum.
  • Collaborate with PR to synchronize earned media and digital campaigns for maximum reach and impact.

Operational Excellence & Performance

  • Partner with the Director of Marketing Delivery to manage project workflows, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators and dashboards to track progress across campaigns and channels.
  • Champion a data-informed culture of continuous improvement, ensuring insights lead to measurable growth in reach, engagement, and membership.
  • Foster strong alignment between campaign planning, creative production, and digital execution.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 15+ years of experience in marketing strategy, campaign management, or integrated communications — ideally in arts, culture, or mission-driven organizations.
  • Proven success leading multidisciplinary teams and executing complex, multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of campaign lifecycle management, social media ecosystems, email marketing, and performance analytics.
  • Demonstrated ability to connect strategic goals to creative and operational execution.
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills; able to influence across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Passion for art, architecture, storytelling, and building brands with cultural and civic impact.
  • Strategic Clarity: Translates institutional vision into integrated plans that inspire teams and audiences alike.

  • Physical Demands: In the work environments described below, Position requires working at desk/workstation and utilizing a computer, audio and video equipment and telephone for prolonged periods of time, good eye/hand coordination, verbal and written conversation with others, walking, standing, lifting/carrying (up to 35 lbs.). Vision abilities required by the job include both color and close vision.
  • Work Environment: Work will be performed in an office environment and in museum spaces as necessary. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
