Senior Director, Human Resources

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.

  • 8+ years of experience in a human resources leadership role.

  • Sales environment experience preferred.

Job Summary

Strategically leads all facets of human resources, collaborating with Centers of Excellence (COE) on associate engagement and relations, change management, coaching, talent management and development, succession planning, performance management and organizational design. Establishes strong partnerships across human resources to ensure alignment between company-wide human resources initiatives and business strategies for functional areas.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

  • Serves as the Senior Human Resources Business Partner leader for functional areas, delivering dedicated support to executive leadership, influencing across multiple career levels, and collaborating with senior leaders to deploy the People strategy while providing strategic, solution-oriented thought partnership to drive overall organizational success.

  • Leads a high-performing team of Human Resources Business Partners, ensuring clarity, empowerment, and accountability for exceeding human resources metrics.

  • Drives proactive associate relations and labor strategies in partnership with Centers of Excellence (COE), while consulting on related issues to ensure fair and equitable treatment for all associates. 

  • Collaborates with the compensation, benefits, HRIS, and other human resources teams to design and implement total reward and measurement systems aligned with the overall human resources strategy.

  • Ensures compliance with regulations, audits, government reports and testing requirements.

  • Implements talent acquisition, talent management, engagement, recognition and reward, diversity, equity and inclusion, organization effectiveness, and learning strategies that create a positive, productive work environment for associates.

  • Fosters a working environment aligned with organizational values, ensuring leadership and associate relations remain collaborative and supportive.

Nature and Scope

  • Problems are complex and may be defined by higher level leadership. Solutions require high strategic level analysis and investigation.
  • Drives strategy and methodology and serves as the subject-matter expert for policies and practices. Decides how to achieve planned results within an organization's plans, policies, and guidelines.
  • Manages via multiple layers OR directly supervises a staff of professional individual contributors at the senior or technical advisor level. Directs budgetary responsibility at the enterprise level or for two or more businesses across the enterprise.

Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
  • Typically requires overnight travel 20% to 50% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 9+ years of experience in a related field, including several years in a management/supervisory capacity.
