About Squaremouth and the Role:
Squaremouth, a SPG company is the nation’s leading travel insurance marketplace, is seeking a Sr. Director of Growth Marketing to drive scalable, measurable growth across strategic partnerships, affiliate marketing, and customer lifecycle programs.
This is a highly visible, hands-on role responsible for expanding our acquisition channels, optimizing customer retention, and strengthening the value of the Squaremouth and Tin Leg brands.
Reporting directly to the CMO, this leader will shape how we attract, convert, and retain travelers from first impression to repeat purchase.
What You’ll Do:
Strategic Partnerships & Affiliate Growth
Own and evolve the end-to-end strategy for all affiliate and partner relationships, optimizing existing channels while developing new, high-impact growth opportunities.
Drive 5%+ YoY revenue growth from affiliates through data-driven optimization, reactivation, shifting payment structures, and targeted acquisition of new partners.
Leverage HUB International’s network to identify and close strategic partnerships with travel agencies, hotel groups, airlines, and associations.
Expand Tin Leg’s product distribution, securing placement on travel insurance marketplaces, OTAs, affiliate networks, and other travel content platforms to increase visibility and market penetration.
Collaborate cross-functionally with SEO, PR, and content teams to drive high-value backlinks and co-marketing opportunities with trusted organizations.
Lifecycle Marketing & Customer Retention
Build and scale a performance-driven lifecycle marketing program that doubles email-attributed sales.
Design, launch, and optimize automated campaigns across key customer touchpoints, including:
Abandoned Cart – recapture incomplete purchases.
Renewal & Re-engagement – increase repeat purchase rates and long-term retention.
Customer Nurture – deliver personalized content, seasonal insights, and relevant product education.
Churn Reduction – proactively address service pain points surfaced through customer reviews and support data.
Lead audience segmentation, testing, and personalization across channels using tools such as SendGrid, GA4, VWO, and UserTesting.
Map and measure the end-to-end customer journey to identify friction points and opportunities for conversion lift.
Experiment and iterate to improve key KPIs, including account signups, returning customer rate, quote-to-sale conversion, and average order value.
What We’re Looking For:
8–12 years of experience in growth, lifecycle, or partnership marketing; ideally in travel, insurance, or marketplace businesses.
Proven success scaling affiliate or partner programs with measurable revenue outcomes.
Deep understanding of performance metrics, funnel conversion, and customer retention.
Hands-on experience with email/lifecycle automation and A/B testing tools (e.g., SendGrid, HubSpot, VWO, GA4).
Exceptional cross-functional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence across marketing, product, and executive teams.
Salary Transparency:
Disclosure required under applicable law in California, Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, New Jersey, and Washington states: The expected salary range for this position is $185,000-$200,000 plus additional annual bonus opportunity. This compensation will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
