Position Overview:  

The Senior Director, Governance Solutions Expert will provide consultative guidance to strategic customers, ensuring successful adoption and expansion of Diligent's Governance solutions. This role requires deep expertise in global GRC processes and focuses on business development, implementation, and thought leadership. This position will be instrumental in building a high-performing cross-functional team to grow our Governance business, fostering strong client relationships, and leading a range of governance and advisory projects. This position requires a strong client-first mentality and a proactive approach to driving business initiatives, ensuring continuous improvement, and providing strategic direction. 

Key Responsibilities  

  • Serve as trusted advisor and thought partner to enterprise prospects and clients during sales process and implementation and assist in business development. 
  • Provide strategic guidance on GRC program design and best practices. 
  • Lead executive-level discussions on regulatory compliance and risk management strategies. 
  • Develop segment and industry-specific use cases and implementation roadmaps working with cross-functional teams. 
  • Mentor client teams on GRC maturity models and program optimization. 
  • Represent the company at industry conferences and client forums as a thought leader and speaker. 
  • Collaborate with product teams to ensure the Diligent One Platform remains ahead of market and regulatory needs. 
  • Work with product marketing and marketing teams to ensure that external collateral and internal training materials address evolving client needs. 
  • Lead governance and advisory projects, delivering high-quality outcomes for clients. 
  • Draft and circulate governance-related updates and legislative insights for clients and internal teams. 
  • Foster strong working relationships with both clients and internal colleagues. 
  • Champion continuous improvement, minimizing risks and promoting a high standard of service delivery. 

Required Experience/Skills  

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within corporate services, governance, or a related field. 
  • Strong business development skills with the ability to drive growth initiatives. 
  • Experience with implementing and managing enterprise-wide risk, compliance, and governance programs. 
  • Ability to engage C-level executives and business leaders across organizations ranging from legal, compliance, technology and IT.  
  • Strategic leadership and operational capabilities to help customers develop objectives while driving operational excellence.  
  • Former C-suite executive, legal or corporate secretary leadership experience (Chief Legal Officer, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary, etc.). 
  • 10-15+ years of operational experience in regulated industries (Financial Services, Healthcare, Energy, etc.). 
  • Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks (SOX, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, etc.) and reporting obligations. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building trust with clients and colleagues. 
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of market trends, governance, and legislative requirements. 
  • Proactive and solution-oriented, with excellent problem-solving skills. 
U.S pay range
$180,000$210,000 USD
