Job Description

Senior Director, Global Commercial Strategy, Lymphoma 


This role will be pivotal in shaping the future of cell therapy in lymphoma, driving the development and execution of brand strategy, launch plans, and tactical initiatives for new and in-line products. The Senior Director will serve as the marketing product team member for the NextGen Lymphoma Product Team (PT) and lead the Global Commercial Strategy (GCS) Lymphoma team. This high-impact, high-visibility position offers a unique opportunity to influence Kite’s approach in a therapeutic area of strategic importance, collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners to maximize brand value and patient impact worldwide.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead the development of the Lymphoma Integrated Strategic Planning (ISP) and the associated Plan of Action, working in close collaboration with all the functions 

  • Serve as the marketing product team member (PTM) for the NextGen Lymphoma Product Team (PT), bringing the voice of the customer into the development plan. 

  • Lead the GCS Lymphoma team, providing strategic direction and oversight to the Yescarta & Tecartus Global Commercial Strategy Director and the Lymphoma Global Commercial Strategy Senior Manager / Associate Director. 

  • Co-lead the Lymphoma Global Brand Team in partnership with the Global Medical Affairs and Value & Access lead for Lymphoma driving cross-functional alignment to ensure cohesive strategy and tactic execution.  

  • Act as the brand champion for Lymphoma NextGen Asset, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal global commercialization. 

  • Analyze the lymphoma disease landscape and competitive environment, distilling insights to support a differentiated brand strategy. 

  • Develop and nurture collaborations that drive business objectives, including partnerships with global regions and external organizations. 

  • Lead the development of global strategic launch plans for Kite’s Lymphoma NextGen Asset, maximizing brand value at launch and supporting long-term performance. 

Basic Qualifications 

  • Ph.D. and 7 Years’ Experience OR 

  • Master’s Degree and 10 Years’ Experience OR 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 12 Years’ Experience 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Proven experience in pharmaceutical global strategic marketing, with a focus on commercial partnerships and product launches in hematology and/or cell therapy 

  • Experience executing key brand deliverables at country or regional level. 

  • Strong leadership skills within large, matrixed organizations; ability to navigate complex business structures. 

  • Resilient profile with the ability to deliver in an ambiguous environment and complex matrix. 

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners (clinical, medical, tech-ops, regulatory, etc.) to shape program strategy. 

  • Experience in hematology and in the lymphoma space is highly desirable. 

  • Approachable and credible communication style, both verbally and written, to keep all levels of the organization informed and engaged. 

  • Ability to engage and manage multiple stakeholders, including senior executives. 

  • Curious, with learning agility and a drive for excellence and high-quality deliverables. 

  • Organized with a systematic approach to prioritization. 

  • Role model of Kite/Gilead core values, inspiring a high-performance culture and engagement. 

Strategic Priorities & Context 

  • Advance next-generation outpatient enabling assets to replace or complement Yescarta & Tecartus. 

  • Achieve global revenue and patient delivery targets for Yescarta & Tecartus. 

  • Expand access for CAR T globally and establish best-in-class therapies in competitive environments. 


 

The salary range for this position is: $237,575.00 - $307,450.00. Kite considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
