As a Senior Digital Support Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality IT support across Service Stream’s national operations. This senior-level position combines service desk leadership with deep technical expertise in End User Computing (EUC) and digital workplace technologies. You’ll be the primary escalation point for complex technical issues and will drive strategic improvements to enhance user productivity and satisfaction.
You’ll be part of a collaborative, agile delivery team, based out of our Melbourne CBD office.
Please note this is a 12-month fixed term contract.
About the role
- Lead the resolution of complex and high-priority IT incidents, acting as the senior escalation point.
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for end-user devices (Windows/macOS) and mobile platforms (Apple & Android).
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 applications including Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, and Intune.
- Design and implement advanced configurations and security policies for end-user environments.
- Drive operational excellence through process improvement, automation, and documentation.
- Mentor junior support staff and lead knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Support onboarding/offboarding processes and ensure timely provisioning of hardware and access.
- Lead post-incident reviews and contribute to strategic technology deployments and upgrades.
Skills and experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT support or service desk roles, with a strong focus on EUC.
- Proven experience in a senior-level support role with incident coordination responsibilities.
- Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, Intune, and Azure Active Directory.
- Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., PowerShell).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert or Modern Desktop Administrator Associate.
- ITIL Foundation certification or higher.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and project management in a support context.
