As a Senior Design Engineer, you will be responsible for performing design work, contributing to projects, and serving as a technical contributor on cross-functional teams. You will play an integral role in advancing projects through all phases of the design and development process — from concept to market launch — leveraging your engineering expertise, problem-solving skills, and collaboration to bring innovative Sports Medicine products to life

You will need to live within commuting distance to our Denver, Colorado office. You will work in a hybrid model for this role
What you will do
- Design, develop, modify, and verify mechanical components and sub-systems for medical devices under minimal supervision.
- Translate user and clinical needs into engineering specifications, producing sub-system and component-level designs that are manufacturable, reliable, and cost-efficient.
- Develop and analyze solutions through prototyping, testing, and verification to demonstrate proof of concept and ensure design robustness.
- Apply advanced problem-solving skills to resolve complex product design issues and make data-driven design tradeoffs with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, and Marketing to advance projects through the full development lifecycle.
- Create and refine engineering documentation, including Design History Files, design documents, and reports, in alignment with design controls and risk management per the Quality Management System.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of product use, clinical procedures, and customer needs to inform design inputs and enhance patient outcomes.
- Uphold compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements while delivering high-quality results with ownership, energy, and accountability.
What you need
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, BioMedical, or related discipline.
- 2+ years of work experience in mechanical engineering.
- Working knowledge and understanding of mechanical engineering practices and design principles.
- Knowledge of design and concept generation CAD tools(SolidWorks preferred)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience/Knowledge working with Polymers or injection Molding preferred.
- Knowledge of analysis tools (i.e., DFMECA, Fault Tree Analysis, FEA, Stack-ups, etc.) and statistical methods (i.e., leveraging Minitab for ANOVA, normality testing, confidence calculations, etc.) & ANSYS
- Technical ability to create engineering drawings and models, applying GD&T and CAE tools.
- Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes to product design.
$77,200 - $160,800 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
