Do you want to work with modelling and development of different models and data-based automated processes with Saxo’s Financial Crime Prevention (FCP)? Saxo is an investments bank, with high speed, global colleagues and we are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to work within the FCP Modelling & Development team.
FCP Modelling & Development is part of 1st Line of defense in Group Operations and located in Saxo’s headquarters in Hellerup. We are a team with colleagues coming from different areas within Saxo’s FCP organization, and we are looking for an additional colleague to join our program. The goal of our team is to ensure that the models and other data-based automated processes we employ in FCP are sound, fit-for-purpose, adequately documented and regularly reviewed.
Responsibilities
Your Profile
You will thrive in this role if you are self-driven, structured, and analytical, with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to navigate a fast-paced environment. You bring an analytical mindset paired with technical expertise and a practical approach to solving challenges, always eager to create tangible business value.
Ideally, you hold a master’s degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a similar quantitative field, and have several years of experience in data science or analytics - preferably within financial services or financial crime prevention.
You are confident working with Databricks, Python, and SQL, applying your hands-on experience in statistical modelling, machine learning, and feature development. You understand the importance of data quality and can translate complex findings into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.
Collaboration is key, and you enjoy partnering with data scientists, analysts, and developers to tackle multifaceted problems. Your proven ability to design and implement data models, conduct predictive analysis, and ensure data integrity across multiple geographies sets you apart.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently are essential. Most importantly, you are curious, adaptable, and committed to delivering measurable results in an environment where priorities can shift quickly.
