We are seeking a strategic, business-minded Product Counsel to join our Law Department in London. In this role, you will partner with innovative teams across Business Intelligence and Consumer Acquisition & Engagement, advising on transformative products that reach millions of consumers globally. Reporting to the Senior Managing Counsel, you will influence product strategy and help deliver solutions that set industry standards.
All About the Role
• Advise across the product lifecycle – from concept to global launch – ensuring compliance while enabling innovation.
• Lead complex technology and commercial transactions, including drafting and negotiating customer agreements, vendor contracts, licensing arrangements, and strategic partnerships.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Privacy, IP, Regulatory, and Regional legal teams to address legal, regulatory, and commercial considerations.
• Guide product development teams, spotting issues early and delivering practical, business-oriented solutions.
• Review marketing and communications to ensure alignment with legal and brand standards.
• Provide strategic risk analysis to senior management, balancing legal requirements with business objectives.
All About You
• Qualified lawyer (common law jurisdiction) with 8+ years’ experience in commercial IP / IT at a reputable law firm or in-house.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills; experience with product development, data privacy, and international work is an asset.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment.
• Excellent business judgment and creative problem-solving skills.
• Strong communicator with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
