Senior Costing Analyst

Portland, Oregon, United States of America Full time
This position is designated as a hybrid role based out of our headquarters near Portland, Oregon. The current expectation is for employees to work onsite four days per week, subject to change based on business needs. This in-office requirement may be adjusted at the discretion of the company.

The Senior Costing Analyst works with factories, vendors, HQ, and LO function teams. Provides fair, transparent, and reliable cost details, analysis, and comparisons to help cost managers meet goals. This role will also lead some costing related projects.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Verifies and audits all direct & indirect costing details, across product, supply chain & logistics, ensuring accuracy with fair & reasonable values.
  • Analyzes seasonal cost trends and impact reports according to database information.
  • Verifies & audits seasonal standard ancillary cost frameworks, (i.e. threads, cement / primer)
  • Coaches others on costing database set up, data collection & analysis queries.
  • Analyzes seasonal CBD’s in detail and prepares relevant information to support economic outlook, per manager's instruction.  
  • Proactively provides cost suggestions through data analysis. Provides cost impact / comparison analysis in collaboration with costing business team as required.
  • Gathers & records cost saving / mitigation information, & assists team in effective summary formats for business communication
  • Implements costing manual and costing policy sharing with costing team or new team member. 

YOU ARE

  • A data expert that will maintain cost data in various systems & create standardized and ad hoc reports.
  • You will also support the teams in varied cost related projects in creation and implementation.
  • Ability to work with tech and developer team to complete and deliver Mold Confirmation by auditing tooling output and collecting other tooling information.
  • Strong collaborator with great interpersonal, communication & negotiation skills
  • Great excel skills with also a good command of the overall Microsoft Office suite, (Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Very strong numeric & analytical skills
  • Strong team player & collaborator
  • Critical thinking Skills.

YOU HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of apparel/footwear costing experience.
  • 5+ years of finance analysis/costing experience preferred.
  • Professional experience and strong competency with the costing/finance tools, systems, and procedures required to accomplish the job.’
  • Negotiation experience preferred.
