Senior Corporate Accountant at Realtor.com
Location: Scottsdale, AZ

Join us as our newest Senior Corporate Accountant and help change the world of real estate, one home at a time. We’re currently considering candidates for this hybrid role out of Scottsdale, AZ. 

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Senior Corporate Accountant to join our organization. In this position, you will help to handle accounting operations within the company, book and record financial transactions and reconcile specific accounts. You must have a keen attention to detail and maintain account balances, financial statements, general ledger, and subledgers.

What you’ll do:

  • Assist with maintenance of general ledger and prepare quarterly financial statements
  • Record financial information for analysis
  • Provide support for year-end financial audits
  • Provide support and prepare schedules for tax team for annual taxes and other tax projects
  • Manage corporate general ledger and assist with month-end/year-end close processes including closing and balancing sub-ledgers, consolidation and related reporting
  • Assist with surveys and miscellaneous accounting requests and projects from parent company and third parties
  • Assist with biweekly payroll related reviews and processes
  • Assist with consolidated cash reporting and Treasury functions, including cash forecasting
  • Assist with vendor onboarding and change management from a SOX perspective
  • Document and maintain company accounting procedures and processes; help identify areas to improve efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with all internal SOX processes
  • Assist in analyzing accounting information, perform accounting research and help propose solutions to complex accounting issues
  • Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), including being comfortable researching and applying the guidance to various scenarios
  • Continued focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices, including automation and AI solutions 
  • Participates in strategic financial projects including upgrades of ERP software and other systems

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 8+ years of accounting experience, with a minimum of 2 years in public accounting 
  • CPA preferred
  • Strong technical and operational accounting experience
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word skills
  • Proficiency with accounting software; Oracle Cloud Financials and Oracle EPM a plus.
  • System experience with Concur Expense/Travel, Trullion and OneStream a plus.
  • Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to multiple tasks, analyze and solve practical problems, prioritize tasks and projects, work both independently and as part of a team, and adapt to frequent changes in the work environment.
