Senior Copywriter

Role Purpose 

You will be at the heart of bringing TalkTalk to life, focusing on energizing our refreshed brand, campaigns, products, and digital channels through creative, engaging, and consistent copy. You will own, implement, and champion our tone of voice, ensuring every word reflects our brand values and resonates with our customers. 

Main Responsibilities 

  • Own, implement, and champion the TalkTalk’s tone of voice, building advocacy as the brand’s voice guardian across all channels. 

  • Develop compelling, creative copy for brand campaigns, product launches, digital channels (website, email, social), and colleague communications. 

  • Collaborate closely with Digital, Product, UX/UI, SEO, and Communications colleagues to ensure messaging is consistent, impactful, and customer-centric. 

  • Interpret and respond to creative briefs, demonstrating a deep understanding of stakeholder requirements and business objectives. 

  • Translate complex product and technical information into clear, accessible, and engaging language for a range of audiences. 

  • Support the creation of campaign concepts and creative ideas that differentiate TalkTalk in the market. 

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, often working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Work closely with the UX team to perfect and craft online sales journeys and digital experiences. 

  • Be the go-to person for content guidance and a wide range of copy requirements across the business. 

  • Steward regular audits of all customer-facing and internal content, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement. 

  • - Provide content support for SEO, ensuring all copy is optimised for search and discoverability. 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience 

Knowledge: 

  • Strong understanding of brand development, campaign messaging, and digital content best practices. 

  • Proficient in SEO copywriting and content management systems (CMS). 

  • Familiarity with telecoms, utilities, or other consumer-facing sectors is desirable. 

Skills: 

  • Exceptional creative writing, storytelling, and editing skills. 

  • Ability to adapt tone and style for different channels, audiences, and business needs. 

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams. 

  • Meticulous eye for detail and accuracy. 

  • Proactive approach to content management and strategy. 

  • Comfortable managing multiple projects and priorities in an agile, dynamic environment. 

Experience: 

  • Proven experience writing content, preferably in a tech or digital environment. 

  • Proven experience working with UX designers, researchers, and product owners to deliver consistent, engaging, and accessible content. 

  • Track record of delivering creative copy for brand campaigns, product launches, and digital channels. 

  • Experience supporting internal communications and working with cross-functional teams and external agencies.
