Senior Coordinator, Sales, Marketing & Brand Experience

Vero Beach, Florida Part Time

The Senior Coordinator, Sales, Marketing & Brand Experience is responsible for driving revenue growth, brand awareness, and guest engagement across all JRTC business channels. This includes hands-on execution and oversight of marketing strategy, retail operations, corporate partnership sales, advertising, communications, and community outreach.  This role serves as both a strategic planner and an active operator, directly managing the day-to-day marketing, retail, and brand experience activities that bring the JRTC brand to life.

The Senior Coordinator develops and executes the annual marketing plan and budget, leads sales initiatives, coordinates retail strategy and operations, and ensures consistent brand representation across all internal and external touchpoints. This position works on-site during events, oversees retail and activation setups, creates and distributes marketing content, and engages directly with guests, partners, and vendors. The Senior Coordinator collaborates closely with all operational departments to deliver a cohesive, high-impact guest experience that reflects the mission and values of the Jackie Robinson Training Complex and MLB.

Responsibilities

Marketing & Communications

  • Develop and implement JRTC’s annual marketing and communications plan aligned with organizational goals and MLB brand standards.
  • Manage social media channels, website updates, and e-newsletters—writing, posting, and tracking engagement metrics.
  • Coordinate with MLB’s central marketing and design teams to ensure cohesive messaging and creative consistency.
  • Produce press releases, media kits, and event communication materials.
  • Manage public relations opportunities, interviews, and media coverage to enhance JRTC’s visibility and reputation.
  • Oversee creation of marketing collateral, event signage, and digital assets.

Sales & Corporate Partnerships

  • Identify and secure new business development opportunities, including corporate partnerships, advertising, and group ticket sales.
  • Lead corporate partnership outreach, proposals, and contract negotiations.
  • Oversee fulfillment and activation of corporate partnerships.
  • Collaborate with other internal departments to develop revenue-driving programs, including event ticketing, non-athletic facility rentals, and monetization of live streaming.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales, corporate partnerships, and marketing ROI.

Retail & Merchandising

  • Oversee all aspects of retail operations, including purchasing, inventory, merchandising, and POS management.
  • Develop and execute seasonal retail strategies to meet or exceed revenue goals.
  • Manage vendor relationships, procurement contracts, and purchasing plans to optimize cost and efficiency.
  • Supervise hiring, training, and performance of retail staff.
  • Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure an exceptional guest shopping experience.

Community & Brand Experience

  • Serve as an ambassador for the JRTC in the local community and at regional events.
  • Lead community relations initiatives and partnerships aligned with MLB’s mission to promote diversity, inclusion, and youth engagement.
  • Support execution of marquee events such as the Jackie Robinson Celebration Game, MLB youth programs, and JRTC tournaments.
  • Ensure the JRTC brand is consistently represented through signage, uniforms, messaging, and guest interactions.

Administrative & Operational

  • Manage marketing and retail budgets, purchase orders, and vendor contracts.
  • Support implementation and maintenance of CRM, POS, and ticketing systems.
  • Compile data and create performance reports for leadership review.
  • Maintain organized archives of creative assets, event photos, and media content.
  • Supervise and train part-time staff, interns, or vendors assisting with marketing and retail initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Manager, Sales & Athletics.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Sports Management, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in marketing, sales, retail management, and/or business development (sports or hospitality preferred).
  • Supervisory experience of at least 2 years required; 3+ years preferred.
  • Experience with CRM, POS, and digital marketing analytics platforms preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute and lead simultaneously, with a hands-on approach to daily operations.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects, deadlines, and on-site activations.
  • Strong understanding of marketing analytics, retail operations, and brand development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, social media management platforms, and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) or Canva.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as events require.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

The Jackie Robinson Training Complex (JRTC), operated by Major League Baseball (MLB) located in Vero Beach, Florida, serves as a year-round hub for amateur development initiatives and events designed to diversify and strengthen the talent pipelines of baseball and softball. We are the permanent home to several signature youth-focused events and programs, such as the Nike RBI World Series and the Hank Aaron Invitational, which teach players how to succeed on and off the field. The historic facility, formerly known as Dodgertown, was renamed Jackie Robinson Training Complex in honor of its trailblazing namesake.
