About This Opportunity 

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Program Coordinator to lead the delivery of the high-impact and collaborative Student-Staff Partnership Project Program across UQ. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, you will supervise a small team, manage program planning and grant administration, and build strategic relationships to embed the Students as Partners ethos university wide.

Key responsibilities will include: 

Program Leadership and Team Supervision

  • Supervise the Student-Staff Partnership (SSP) Projects team to ensure the delivery of a sustainable and high-quality program that meets strategic objectives. This involves overseeing day-to-day operations and fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture within the team.

Evaluation, Reporting, and Financial Oversight

  • Lead the identification, analysis, and interpretation of program data to inform strategic reporting and drive continuous improvement. You will also oversee financial administration of the SSP Program, including monitoring expenditure and preparing budget summaries.

Engagement and Community Development

  • Plan, manage, and deliver a range of events that promote the program and celebrate the achievements of the SSP community. You will collaborate with coordinators to design and deliver induction sessions for all participating partners.

Strategic Partnership Building

  • Build and maintain strategic internal and external community partnerships to enhance UQ’s leadership and expertise in the students as partners movement. You will ensure program alignment with funding allocations and broader program objectives.

About You  

  • Degree/qualifications with experience (or extensive equivalent experience) with demonstrated understanding of the issues, principles, and practices related to Students as Partners in higher education, including an awareness of associated challenges and opportunities.

  • Proven ability to supervise staff effectively, demonstrating skills in prioritising their workload, wellbeing, and performance.

  • Demonstrated strong organisational and project management skills, including the ability to effectively plan, schedule, budget, and prioritise tasks in a dynamic environment.

  • Highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills to build and maintain positive relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to monitor and evaluate program outcomes, including analysing data and producing reports for strategic and program improvement purposes.

You must maintain unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment, and may be required to complete background checks including, criminal history and education checks. Employer sponsored work rights are not available for this appointment.
