Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP is seeking a Senior Coordinator, Business Development to support the day-to-day needs of team members and practice group lawyers in the execution of strategic go-to-market initiatives that generate new client relationships, enhance brand profile, and drive revenue opportunities. In this role, the Senior Coordinator will support the healthcare transactions team and the larger life sciences sector and possess strong relationship building, communication, and project management skills, in addition to a strong intellectual curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning.  

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Strategic InitiativesLead and coordinate the development and execution of BD initiatives to target opportunities across the healthcare team and life sciences and healthcare industry. Track and report on client development efforts and partner BD-related activities 

  • Experience Lists – Produce and update experience statements, marketing collateral and brochures, including maintaining matter databases with up-to-date deal descriptions and pitch materials 

  • Events/Sponsorships – Event coordination and delivery in collaboration with the in-house events team for client presentations, seminars, conference sponsorships, and client dinners and other events related to the promotion of the practice and industry 

  • Directory and Award SubmissionsGenerate and review content for submission to Chambers, Legal 500 and other media publications; work with lead lawyers to finalize and prep for interviews.  

  • Internal Communications – Use internal communications channels in the US to develop and to promote engagement activities within the life sciences and healthcare teams 

  • Publications and Client AlertsLead and coordinate the development and publication of client alerts and articles, in cooperation with the wider marketing team 

  • Proposals/RFPsPrepare and review bespoke proposals, RFP responses and other client development presentations, including drafting and editing content; and coordinating multi-practice contributions to opportunities 

  • Branding – Ensure on and offline marketing collateral is compliant with visual identity guidelines, working in conjunction with the central Brand and Design teams 

  • Research – Coordinate or conduct industry or organization research with the in-house competitive intelligence team 

 

Skills and experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required 

  • Minimum 5 years of general marketing/business development experience, including 2+ years’ experience in a law firm marketing/business development role. Previous experience in an international law firm and/or experience with the relevant practice areas will be considered an advantage. 

  • Strong IT and technical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (including  PowerPoint), and Adobe Acrobat. CRM software experience (particularly InterAction). 

  • Strong organizational and project management skills; can-do attitude; proven multi-tasking abilities; must be comfortable dealing with ambiguity. 

  • Client service orientation and good listening skills; diplomacy; attention to detail; proven abilities to work well with attorneys at all levels.  

  • Willingness to further develop own skills, as well as train more junior members of the team.  

  • Excellent writing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
