Job Summary:

Seeking a Senior Consultant with expertise in contaminated land or waste management to support UK and international projects. The role involves environmental site assessments, chemical and quantitative risk assessments, and brownfield regeneration.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • 10+ years in environmental assessment (contaminated/brownfield land or waste).
  • Postgraduate degree in geology, geosciences, chemistry, environmental science, or hydrogeology.
  • Experience in Phase 1 & Phase 2 site investigations.
  • Strong understanding of conceptual site models and risk assessments for soil and water.
  • Skilled in interpreting complex soil/water data and report writing.
  • Excellent communication and networking skills.
  • Familiarity with UK environmental regulations.
  • Independent and team-oriented work ethic.
  • Willingness to travel and collaborate with UK teams.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience in global projects or excellence centres.
  • Knowledge of soil waste management and remediation.
  • Fieldwork experience (preferred).
  • Understanding of human health risk assessments and UK screening criteria.
  • Familiarity with UK standards (e.g., CIRIA C552, DEFRA 2012).

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Build strong professional relationships with UK teams.
  • Prepare and review technical documents, contaminated land assessments, and reports.
  • Manage large datasets using software tools.
  • Design and organize environmental site investigations.
  • Prepare method statements, specifications, and drawings.
  • Ensure quality, timely, and budget-compliant delivery.
  • Adhere to health and safety protocols.
  • Pursue continuous professional development.
