Lead the DevOps/Site Reliability activities for the Micromedex portfolio being responsible for transforming CI/CD and optimising all product deliveries while ensuring product SLAs are achieved.
Build and manage large scale platform services and deployment pipelines working with global development teams and multiple public cloud infrastructure and delivery partners.
Collaborate with cross functional partners you will work with engineering and operations, communicating clearly to ensure smooth and predictable delivery of software for all channels; mobile, on premise and Cloud.
Implement and maintain automated infrastructure and application monitoring working with stakeholders to increase release cadence of our products.
Provide escalation support for high severity and critical platform-impacting events. You respond to incidents, conducting root cause analysis, troubleshooting and implementing preventative measures.
In partnership you will develop and execute near and long-term Cloud strategies, identifying transformation and innovation opportunities across the portfolio.
Work with leadership to form and articulate delivery strategies for cloud and delivery channels.
Instrument and monitor Micromedex systems ensuring alerts available to detect and respond to issues.
Automate tasks like deployment, scaling, and incident response to improve efficiency and reliability.
Analyze system performance metrics and optimize resource allocation.
Help develop colleagues engineering capabilities through knowledge sharing, collaboration and mentoring.
Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
At least 8 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability & Cloud Solutioning using Azure, DB2, Oracle, CI/CD.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills quickly balancing needs, prioritising focus and triaging issues to identify root cause to remediate.
Deep technical knowledge of CI/CD, Cloud Infrastructure, Availability, Security and DevOps strategies with demonstratable project experience.
Demonstratable experience with Performance, DevOps and Security; JMeter, JFrog Xray, SonarQube, Veracode, Defender, Qualys, Dependabot, Toolchain, Jenkins, Ansible.
Expertise with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, SonarQube, Artifactory). Proficiency in infrastructure as code (e.g., Pulumi, Terraform). Solid knowledge of containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), load balancing and products such as OpenLiberty, DB2, Infinispan, CloudFlare is highly desirable.
Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Go.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is required.
Fluency with software development methodologies e.g. Lean-Agile, Scrum, SAFe.
Compensation
The salary range provided in this job posting is intended to reflect the general market value for the position. The actual salary offered may vary based on factors such as the candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and the specific requirements of the role. This range may also be subject to change as market conditions evolve. We encourage open communication throughout the interview process to discuss compensation expectations. For base-salary + commission sales roles, the range represents On-Target Earnings.
