We are seeking a Senior Consultant – Customer Engagement Strategy & Execution (CESE) to join our growing Life Sciences and Healthcare Consulting team, based in London (hybrid).
As a Senior Consultant, you will manage and deliver digital healthcare communication and engagement projects for some of the world’s leading pharmaceutical and biotech companies. You’ll work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure high-quality, timely, and impactful project delivery that supports our clients’ commercial and customer engagement objectives.
This role sits within the CESE practice, which helps life sciences organisations transform how they engage with healthcare professionals and patients through data-driven, and customer-focused strategies.
About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in life sciences, business, communications, or a related discipline (master’s degree preferred).
7 years of experience in project management within the pharmaceutical, healthcare communications, or life sciences consulting sectors.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage client relationships and set clear expectations.
Attention to detail and ability to oversee content accuracy, compliance, and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project).
It would be great if you also have:
Familiarity with omnichannel customer engagement or digital marketing strategies in life sciences.
Understanding of approval processes and compliance in the pharmaceutical industry.
Experience coordinating international project delivery or working with external network partners.
What will you be doing in this role?
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, effectively managing relationships and expectations to ensure alignment with commercial goals and objectives.
Lead customer engagements from proposal development through to project completion, overseeing budgets, timelines, and deliverables to meet or exceed customer expectations.
Direct project teams in large-scale engagements, executing complex analytical tasks and conducting in-depth research specific to the commercial domain to address customer challenges.
Develop and implement innovative analytical approaches and solutions tailored to address specific customer needs and industry challenges, enhancing strategic decision-making.
Mentor and guide junior consultants, fostering their professional growth and ensuring effective project execution within the context of commercial consulting practices.
Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities and emerging customer needs within the commercial sector, driving growth and market presence.
Provide thought leadership in the domain by contributing to the advancement and refinement of consulting methodologies, ensuring they are cutting-edge and relevant to commercial practice.
Take ownership of business development efforts by leading the entire process—from understanding customer needs and developing proposals to pricing strategies, customer presentations, and overcoming objections— ensuring successful acquisition and retention of commercial consulting engagements.

The Customer Engagement Strategy & Execution (CESE) team is an international consulting group focused on helping life sciences and pharma clients enhance customer engagement and commercialisation through data-driven and customer-focused approaches.
Our work includes:
Defining customer/brand strategy and support launch preparation work
Developing data-driven solutions to improve customer experience and commercial impact.
Designing and implementing omnichannel engagement strategies for global and regional markets.
Collaborating across Clarivate’s broader consulting practices, including Market Access, HEOR, and Commercial Strategy.

Hours of Work
This is a full-time, permanent position based in London, UK, with hybrid working (2–3 days per week in our Liverpool Street office, the rest remote).
This position requires weekday (Monday–Friday) attendance with some flexibility around core hours.
