Role overview

We’re looking for a versatile, cross-functional Senior Specialist to join our People & Talent team.

Reporting to the Manager, Community and Events, you’ll bring to life our culture of inclusion. In this role, you will manage programming for our Community initiatives. As a member of a larger team, you can also expect to have cross-functional assignments and exposure to critical programming across the People & Talent function, including Learning, Communications, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, and Facilities. Your ability to work in ambiguity, manage key stakeholder relationships, and juggle responsibilities across different functional areas will be an asset.

What you'll do

Community

  • Execute the strategy for our evolving Community function by managing programs that advance fairness and inclusion across our global footprint.
  • Be a trusted partner to our Employee Resource Groups and provide day-to-day coaching, guidance, and event support to ensure they’re having a meaningful impact on the organization.
  • Support our employee councils. Acting as a guide to empower our leaders to own and drive culture. Serving as a coach and facilitator to help them think through challenges and accomplish strategic goals.
  • Serve as secondary support for charitable giving programs and events including volunteering efforts and fundraising activities. Help us maximize the impact of our contributions by building partnerships and creating sustainable processes.
  • Serve as an events thought partner and executor, collaborating with others to elevate our internal events to become marquee experiences for our employees.

Additional projects and assignments

  • Our work in the Community space requires that we understand adult learning and how to support employees in behavioral change. Prior experience in Learning & Development that involves training or coaching is essential.
  • An in-depth understanding of Talent Management process is also critical. We are not general consultants on Fairness and Inclusion. We develop deep partnerships with colleagues across our People & Talent function in order to co-develop programs and content. Knowledge of performance, career, or assessment practices is vital.
  • Careers take many paths at CarGurus. You can expect to collaborate on and lead projects that span the entire scope of our team.
