Job Description:

Check out this great opportunity to join one of GDIT’s longest standing and continuously growing programs!  The US Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation Systems eXtended (US BICES-X) is a program supporting DoD intelligence information sharing regarding current and emerging global threats to mission and coalition partners.  With an internationally dispersed team supporting each combatant command, the US BICES-X team directly supports the war fighter and their missions. We are seeking a driven professional with a passion for solving real world issues on a cross-functional team to join our Change Management team– please read below!

Responsibilities:

  • Provides change management support to assigned projects.
  • Analyzes and processes complex engineering change requests (CRs) to determine the impact on the overall system.
  • Ensures change control and configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness, proper authorizations, and system updates.
  • Assists with the improvement of change management processes and ServiceNow workflows based on program requirements.
  • Provides guidance and training to managers, site leads, engineers, systems, and network administrators regarding change and configuration management procedures.
  • Develops process documentation and knowledge articles to assist colleagues with understanding of change management
  • Serves as local Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Change Management for supporting external requests, data calls, and Contract Deliverables (CDRL) reporting to the Program Office.
  • Provides guidance and attends and participates in weekly Technical Review Board and Change Advisory Board (TRB/CAB) meetings.
  • Processes service request and change request tickets using ServiceNow or similar ticketing tool including requests to change the authorized product list (APL) and update the configuration management database (CMDB)
  • Completes Change and Configuration Management audits for ServiceNow ticket actions
  • Builds and designs dashboards and reports in response to customer for information (RFIs) using Excel, Access, Tableau and ServiceNow.
  • Updates existing configuration databases.
  • Ensure all internal change management and configuration management processes and procedures have been followed.
  • Participates in special projects as required

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of IT Change Management experience required.
  • Must possess a SECRET Security Clearance.
  • ITIL V4 Foundation or possess equivalent higher certifications.
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience
  • Utilization of ITSM tool, ServiceNow, SCSM, or remedy.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ServiceNow knowledge including:
    • Operating as fulfiller
    • Change, Asset and CMDB models
    • Designing workflows and processes
  • Ideal candidate will have experience in:
    • Utilizing Tableau, JIRA SCSM, Access or other tools used to manage and control daily work and process improvement initiatives.
    • Using Pivot tables in Excel
  • Experience tracking and reporting on the progress of change requests
  • Experience facilitating technical exchange meetings and approval of change requests
  • Knowledge and demonstrated understanding of best practices for maintaining comprehensive and accurate documentation

The likely salary range for this position is $70,550 - $95,450. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
