Animator: Delivers control and movement to characters, creatures, objects, scenery and environment displayed within electronic games, websites or software products. Applies knowledge and uses technical process ability in techniques such as rigging and skinning, kinetics and basic cinematography. Collaborates with programmers and artists to balance seamless movements and optimized performance on the target platform. Applies developed skills, knowledge and proficiency in at least one animation package, such as 3D Studio Max, Character Studio or Maya to work product.
Main responsibilities will include:
1. Develop and animate 2D characters, props, and backgrounds based on storyboards, concept art, and creative briefs.
2. Understand and accurately convey game character or objects personalities, expressions, and movements through animation.
3. Collaborate with the creative team to ensure consistency in animation style and adherence to project guidelines.
4. Create animatics, layout poses, and in-betweens to produce smooth and fluid character animations.
5. Participate in animation reviews and feedback sessions to refine and iterate on animations.
6. Able to create effect layers like rays, glows, glints, and lightings on the given art to make the animation more attractive.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. 4 + years of experience in animation for films, television, video games, slot or mobile gaming industries or relevant.
2. Strong knowledge in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe After Effects
3. Strong knowledge in Spine 2D
4. Strong understanding of animation principles, such as timing, spacing, squash and stretch, and anticipation.
5. Strong knowledge in particle simulations, visual effects, and other physics dynamics.
6. Blender 3D (optional)
7. Digital Drawing skills (optional)
8. BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) or relevant course
Education
Bachelors degree in related field.
