As a Senior Analytics Engineer I, you are a highly skilled data professional responsible for designing, building, and optimizing scalable analytics systems. You transform raw data into trusted insights by developing robust data models and pipelines, ensuring data reliability, and driving operational excellence. You work cross-functionally with data engineers, data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to define requirements and deliver impactful analytics solutions. With a passion for data-driven decision making, you take ownership of systems and processes that scale with the business and enable stakeholders to make informed decisions quickly and confidently.

In your day to day, you will: 

  • Design and develop scalable data models and pipelines to support analytics and business intelligence use cases
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to define data requirements and deliver solutions
  • Optimize database performance and data workflows to ensure reliability, efficiency, and accessibility
  • Validate and monitor data quality, ensuring consistency through testing and documentation
  • Maintain and improve documentation for data models, workflows, and analytical processes
  • Troubleshoot data issues and perform root cause analysis in a timely manner
  • Advocate for and promote a data-driven culture by enabling self-service analytics capabilities
  • Stay current on best practices and emerging tools in analytics engineering and data infrastructure
  • Build tools and processes that scale and support data democratization across departments

We think this role is for you if have...

  • 4+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related field
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python, and experience with ETL frameworks
  • Experience with cloud data warehouse technologies (i.e. Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery)
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools (i.e. Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or Omni/Sigma)
  • Understanding of data modeling concepts, database design, and best practices
  • Experience with orchestration and transformation tools (i.e. dbt, Airflow, Dagster, Luigi)
  • Hands-on experience with dbt (Data Build Tool) required

Housecall Pro is a fintech company founded in 2013. We built a SaaS platform that helps Home Service Professionals operate their businesses. We created the application for plumbers, electricians, and other Pros in the home improvement/trades industries.

Housecall Pro is a simple, cloud-based field service management software platform aimed at helping companies keep track of jobs, monitor technician activity, and produce invoices easily.

Our core product helps our clients with scheduling, dispatching, job management, invoicing, payment processing, marketing, and more. They used to struggle with the ton of paperwork after their hours. Now they can save time, and manage their business in one app.
