What's the role?
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. This role is critical in driving the financial performance of the organization by focusing on Sales, Margin, and Commercial Analysis. The analyst will provide in-depth insights into sales trends, margin performance, and commercial strategies, supporting strategic decision-making in our eye care accessories business and retail operations. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial analysis, exceptional analytical skills, and proficiency in Power BI or similar data visualization tools. By evaluating key financial metrics and KPIs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams, the Senior Financial Analyst will optimize revenue generation, enhance profitability, and support the overall commercial objectives of the business. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, a solid understanding of financial principles, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively to stakeholders at all levels.

- Sales and Margin Analysis:
- Conduct detailed analysis of sales data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Evaluate gross margins, profit margins, and other related metrics to assess the profitability of products and services.
- Develop and maintain financial models to forecast sales and margin performance.
- Performance Management:
- Analyze business performance based on channel P&Ls.
- Build and discuss “What-if” scenarios for different business decisions.
- Assess the financial impact of business decisions, including new product launches, market expansions, and promotional activities.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop and refine commercial strategies.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data reported.
- KPI Monitoring:
- Identify, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) that reflect the financial health of the organization.
- Develop dashboards and reports to monitor KPIs such as revenue growth, cost efficiency, and return on investment (ROI).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and refine KPIs.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Analyze budget variances and provide explanations for deviations.
- Support the development of long-term financial plans.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
- Implement best practices in financial analysis and reporting.
- Participate in system upgrades and enhancements related to financial reporting tools.
- International Operations:
- Support financial analysis for our global operations, ensuring alignment with local market dynamics and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with international teams to standardize reporting processes and financial metrics.
Do you qualify?
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or relevant professional certification (CFA, CPA) is a plus.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial analysis, with a focus on sales and margin analysis in a retail or consumer goods environment.
- Proven expertise in Power BI or similar data visualization tools; experience with advanced Excel functions is essential.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide strategic recommendations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience working in an international organization, with a strong understanding of global market dynamics and financial regulations.
