About the Role

We’re looking for a versatile, driven individual to join our team as Senior Analyst, Finance Solutions. In this role, you will work with a highly skilled and motivated group to enable process modernization and drive a culture of continuous improvement across Finance Operations. You will support scalable automation solutions, governance frameworks, and cross-functional transformation initiatives that enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the enterprise.

What You’ll Do

  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline, simplify, and automate Finance Operations processes.
  • Act as a key contributor within cross-functional modernization squads to deliver improvements in efficiency, productivity, and stakeholder experience.
  • Lead the development of automation solutions using tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, Power Automate, ChatGPT, or through collaboration with IT and RPA teams.
  • Develop process documentation, standard operating procedures, and user training materials to support the adoption and sustainability of re-engineered processes.
  • Work cross-functionally with aligned Directors or VPs to communicate results and project planning.
  • Design and maintain business intelligence dashboards and reporting tools to communicate complex operational performance through KPIs, benchmarking, and exception reporting.
  • Establish or monitor data pipelines, including accessing raw data feeds, building SQL queries, and preparing structured datasets for analysis and visualization.
  • Support and maintain OneStream or Blackline integrations in collaboration with Finance teams and support the administration and maintenance of Alteryx Server and General Information Technology Controls (GITCs) for the platform.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by equipping peers and teams with accurate data, best practices, and process guidance for sustained operational excellence.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or a related field of study
  • Minimum five years of experience in business process engineering, finance process modernization, core finance systems management, or as a data analyst within a finance function.
  • Proficient in data querying, transformation, and visualization using SQL, Python, Snowflake, Power BI, or similar business intelligence tools.
  • Proficient with automation platforms such as Power Automate, Alteryx, or Smartsheet.
  • Strong analytical background with the ability to break down and solve complex problems using both qualitative and quantitative methods, including KPI reporting, root cause analysis, or financial modeling.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present insights clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA qualification with knowledge of IFRS accounting principles is an asset.
  • Knowledge of core finance systems, including SAP S4/HANA, OneStream, Blackline, or Workiva.
  • Experience using ChatGPT or other generative AI tools to enhance productivity is an asset.
  • Familiarity with Alteryx Server, ServiceNow, and General Information Technology Controls (GITCs) is a bonus.
  • Experience writing process documentation, training materials, and reports to support change initiatives.
  • Self-starter with a curious mindset, demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and proven success collaborating within cross-functional teams.

Location: Toronto

The hiring base salary range for this position is $76,300 to $104,900 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Please note that the disclosed salary range is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
