ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

The Senior Commercial Analyst is a key member of the Commercial Finance team within IDEX Health & Science (IH&S). This role delivers financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support profitability and growth. Primary focus is on orders, backlog and high-volume transactional product lines: Life Science Optics (LSO) Filters & Life Science Fluidics (LSF) Connections, ensuring accurate forecasting and actionable insights to drive business performance.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Compiles and analyzes data for orders & backlog for IH&S
  • Supports high-volume transactional product lines (Filters & Connections), including but not limited to:
    • Planning and forecasting (monthly, weekly) and analyzing actual orders and revenue.
    • Utilizing backlog and order trends to translate into revenue forecasts at the customer level, considering projects, seasonality, and other factors.
    • Partnering with Sales and Product leaders to develop robust orders and sales forecasts and recommend actions when results vary from expectations.
  • Forecasting & analyzing orders and sales for IH&S as necessary
  • Supports the Market Development, Product Management, Life Cycle Innovation and New Product Innovation in the development of financial analysis to support business case justification for future product development and strategic investments for the IH&S
  • Participates in the preparation and analysis of monthly business reviews, P&L analysis/actions, KPI monitoring & root cause counter measure support.
  • Leads and/or participates in special projects and assignments.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting and/or business discipline
  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of Accounting experience
  • Experience in reviewing, analyzing, and supporting accounting and financial report creation 
  • Solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the ability to research and apply accounting pronouncements as appropriate  
  • Proficient PC/ERP experience; JD Edwards, OneStream and PowerBi preferred 
  • Strong grasp of SOX requirements  
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills to work effectively in a team environment within and outside of the Accounting Department  
  • Experience working with remote and global colleagues from a virtual office.

Total Rewards (MAY VARY BY STATE)

The compensation range for this position is $90,000 - $100,000, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance-based bonus plan.

The compensation range for this position is $94,600.00 - $142,000.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
