Senior Accountant

Bangkok Full time

General Accounting (GL):

  • Prepare accurate, timely month-end closing and year-end process in accordance with our established schedule and with input from the rest of the accounting department
  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and fixed assets
  • Perform and verify related accounting transactions including WHT, VAT, receiving and payment entries
  • Conduct monthly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies
  • Able knowledge transfer, coaching, delegate task and process improvement support to the accounting team
  • Coordinate with internal and external audits and providing information for auditors
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Liaise with our Country Financial Manager and Assistant Finance Manager to improve financial procedures
  • Ensure compliance with local GAAP principle

Bank Guarantee activity

  • Day-to-day processing, monitoring and follow up cancellation and liaise with banks and the sales business units to ensure timely issuance of BG and issue resolution

Accounts Receivable

  • Monthly prepare of Output tax report and reconciliation
  • Ensure all provision of bad debt and including propose write off was set properly align with corporate guideline and local regulation
  • Coordinating with various teams in Master data team, Sales and Customer Service, and Collection by working on the root cause analysis and solutions to overcome challenges

Credit Management

  • Day-to-day processing, evaluate customer creditworthiness and establish credit limits including release the sales order block by credit limits and overdue
  • Provide the credit check financial statement report, support the explanation for local customers as needed and approval in master data
  • Monitor customer credit limits and take appropriate action when necessary
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve credit-related issues
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to credit management

Account Payable

  • Day-to-day processing, Verify transaction before process payment
  • Verify all expenses align with corporate guideline, policy, compliance and local regulation

Tax

  • Provide a necessary advice on all accounting and relevant tax matters to sales or other departments
  • Manage tax compliance, ensure strong internal controls, and support corporate reporting requirements
  • Lead annual and monthly tax filing processes in compliance with Thai tax law

Participate in process improvement initiatives and identify opportunities for increased efficiency. Maintain compliance with all relevant accounting standard and regulations. Mentor, train and manages accounting staff. Plan, assign and review work of accounting staff. Responsible for collating and maintaining HQ accounting processes to always ensure controls and adequate support. Any other duties as assigned by the management

Data Protection, PDPA

  • Ensure all related with PDPA is completed

  • Projects (TH, Regional and HQ)

Education / Professional Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a similar major related field
  • No prohibited characteristics to be a legal accountant

Experience

  • Must have at least 7 years’ experience in accounting or finance or tax accounting
  • Excellent skills in using accounting systems and Microsoft office
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
  • Experience collaborating and/or managing a team

Knowledge / Skills / Other characteristics

  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and demonstrates strong technical accounting skills
  •  In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Require basic knowledge in tax compliance (Corporate Income Tax, VAT, Withholding Tax)
  • Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment with collaborative mindset
  • Good communication in English skills both written and verbal with people of all levels and interact with a diverse group of individuals and personalities
  • Proactive and reliable personality
  • Shows strong leadership skills and manages a growing accounting team
  • Knowledge of and ability to a PDPA knowledge is a plus
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP and pivot tables
  • Well-organized, Can-do & will-do attitude, detail-oriented, strong problem solving, analytical, communication skills and work well under pressure
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • the candidate must be willing to work late and sometimes during weekends to complete the assignment to meet clients’ timeline.
